I agree. We lived in South Africa for 4 years and what I could buy in a week there for fruit and veg, compared to what I can buy here (Canada) in a week is nowhere near the same. If I wanted to run out for a bag of chips there, it was going to be 100-150g for almost $2, not like here where a 250g bag of chips I can get on…

You look great! And I love your dress in that first pic!

So I had this problem actually just before I joined MFP and started losing weight. I would check it out with your doctor. But for me we did blood work and it came back that I was severely anemic. With having just started your period, I would say that could be it for you too. I would get your iron levels tested.

Mix together: 2 1/2 cups wheat bran 1 cup ground flaxseed 1 cup wheat germ (if desired) 2 cups whole wheat flour 2 Tbsp molasses 1/2 cup oil 1 tsp salt (more if desired-the recipe actually calls for 2 Tbsp, but I am on a low-sodium diet) 4 Tbsp instant yeast 7-8 cups warm/hot water Add in enough whole wheat flour to make…

Well I'm from SK, but I lived in AB for a little while! Glad you joined! You can do this! I joined just after my sisters wedding (summer 2010) and I've lost 32 pounds so far. You can lose the weight you need to in the time you have I'm sure! Good luck!

I'd like to know the advice, because I am having the same problem now!!!

My daughter sewed blankets and made pillows for her brothers this year. I thought that was a neat idea.

There is an option where you can have just the music or nothing if you want. Go to the options section I think.

what about a smoothie to drink on your way in. Some vanilla yoghurt, milk, and frozen berries all blended together and off you go. If you wanted to add some protien powder you could, I don't.

This was so my family growing up!! "Hard" cheese was for special occasions only! And try melting that "butter" on popcorn. Gross!

My mom was a yo-yo dieter my whole life. I remember her doing Jenny Craig, weight watchers, nutri-system, cabbage diet and others. I also remember, as a teen, her telling me to watch what I was eating and I didn't want to end up like her, ect. Now I was a heavier teen (but not awful, about a size 12) and I remember…

If I have cereal I do Fibre One Honey Clusters or occasionally oatmeal. I also do Weight Control Oatmeal.

Great job! One day I will join you there! Stick with it!

I caved last night. We set up the Christmas tree with the kids, got them all to bed and my hubby says Want a snack pack of chips? I say sure. AHHH!!! Up to then I was great and hopefully it will be a reminder to not cave in the future.

Congrats!! I love that feeling. I am currently wearing jeans I haven't worn in years!

You look great! Well done. I have lost 31 pounds and am 1/3 of the way as well. When I see the difference in you I think I need to get some "during" shots to encourage myself to keep going.

I totally understand! You don't finish your co-workers sandwich, but you will finish your kids! It's awful. I have learned to tell myself "Its garbage in my stomach or garbage in the trash bin--pick the trash bin!" I have 4 kids ages 4-10 and I used to have a home daycare as well. Now 3 of the kids are in school and I have…

Don't worry I have been doing it for 6 weeks now and just moved to level 3. I am also heavier (230) and it is tough. But keep with it--your endurance and strength will come.

I will so join in this challenge. This is something that I had given up & gotten over, but recently I slipped back into it. It started slow, but then I did it about 4-5 times last week. So, yesterday I had decided no more, and then I woke up to this post. THANKS!! This is is just what I need.

I have the same problem, though often out of boredom and emotions. It's frustrating! I am slowly learning better behaviours, reading in bed (where I won't eat), playing a game with my kids, ect.

I have to admit, I didn't read the article, but in response to what you mentioned. I would find it rude if someone logged their food while at my table in my house and while out. I do log everything, but I don't do it until the meal is over. Or if going out, I log it before I go if I know what I'm having. To be honest, I…

i do! I can't handle the fat on them. I also buy the ones that are trimmed already.

I have a hamilton beach personal blender. It does ice and makes smoothies no problem. I love it cuz you can just drink it right out of the container and there are measurements on the cup itself so you can measure right into it.

I'm in!! Let's do it!

Thanks for providing this wonderful site and for free! It has helped me change my life in the past 4 months. I have lost 30 pounds and will keep going. You guys are great. <><

I'm with you Amanda. I haven't cut mine since I moved 18 months ago, no I just remembered I got a trim once, I think abotu 12 months ago. It grows really fast. I had it down to my belly button after my first baby, but by the time the 4th came 5 years later it was short. Now the "baby" is almost 5 and I am growing it out…

Thanks you guys, before I starting losing weight (4.5 months ago) my dr put me on bp meds as I was having sudden spikes causing me to pass out. I am wondering if I still need to be on as I have been experencing other symptoms that my bp is too low. I think I will make a follow-up with my dr and see if this is the case.…

you can make powdered sugar by blending sugar in a blender or food processor. It might work with stevia or ideal/slpenda too.

My 10 y/o is very thin and 5' tall and she weighs 47 kgs. I can't imagine you should weigh any less than you do now. I think you are at a good weight.
