I never realized just how many calories are in nut butters. I had to do away with my nightly apple and peanut butter snack. :( Raw medjool dates are delicious. They taste like extra large honey/caramel gummy bears but they are 60 calories a piece and 12.5 grams of sugar. :( I still eat about three a day!

I have never counted calories from olive oil; I don't plan on starting either. I usually sauté or stir-fry my foods in olive oil. I also use oil in place of cream based salad dressings. Not counting calories from olive oil has not affected my weight loss.

this is what I do. I spread mashed avocado on my sandwiches instead of mayo. you really can't tell the difference; I'd even venture to say that it tastes better because it's more creamy.

deep fat fried foods and high sugar foods are considered cheats for me. I don't care if they fit into my daily calorie range or not. Fried foods wreak havoc on my body (bloating and gas for days after) but they taste so good! Also, my skin because dry and blotchy for a few days after eating high sugar foods.

pretty much this^^^ I eat 4 fried eggs everyday for breakfast with the yolk. If I am having a salad the same day I usually boil between 3-4 eggs to eat with the salad. So I eat 4 eggs per day regardless but sometimes I eat 8. I never discard the yolks.

I do an arm day, leg day, shoulder/back day/ and then full body days. But I also lift 4-5 times per week. I'm going to echo the others and suggest you do two full body days since you're only lifting twice a week.

4lbs sounds normal to me. I gained 6lbs but lost a few inches all within the same time span. My body is getting tighter (losing the fat) and my clothes are definitely looser, but my weight on the scale seems to remain the same...give or take a few pounds.

I think your approach is a good one. My only advice for you is to request steamed vegetables and/or a garden salad on the side (sans dressing...it's okay to bring your own!) in place of whatever side that already comes with the meal. I am experiencing this very feeling right now. This was my cheat weekend and my body is not responding very well to processed foods. This weekend I reintroduced processed sugar, wheat, flour, rice, and fried foods into my diet. I regret eating so much. My stomach will not stay quiet!

I have been gluten free for a couple of months now and I still experience PMS symptoms. I diet is also 90% raw vegan. I broke down and went to see my doctor and was prescribed birth control to help regulate my hormones. Glad it's working for you though!

I eat a lot of carbs and am still able to lose steadily. My carbs are almost exclusively from fruit. The only macros I really pay attention to are my calories in, protein, saturated fats, sodium, and added sugar. good luck ricki!
