Fitness blender has all sorts of great full length videos online. You can search their database for "low impact" and there's lots to choose from. Hope this helps! http://www.fitnessblender.com

I had the same thing. I was shocked at the difference between MFP and my Polar HRM. But I figure it's better to know the more accurate version, so I only log what my HRM says now.

I love my Polar FT4. I read a lot of discussions on MFP before purchasing it, and if you want accuracy, it's the way to go. I was disappointed that it showed less calories burned on several exercises than what MFP did, but I'd rather know and be accurate. It's super easy to wear and use. I've heard a lot of people get…

I LOVE my Polar FT4. It's easy, comfortable to wear, and I love that I'm getting a much more accurate picture of the calories I'm burning. I was disappointed to see that my HRM says significantly less for many exercises than MFP calculates for me, but I'd rather know what's really going on!

Welcome to the MFP support network! You are so worth the work you're about to put into getting healthy. I'm on a journey to lose over 100 pounds, and I know it's overwhelming. But start by making a few changes at a time. Commit to a lifetime of making better choices, not of dieting. Make some goals....how much water will…

Yup...wet the strap and go! It's so easy. I was surprised by the difference that my Polar said vs. what MFP calculated. Unfortunately the HM says much lower, but I'd rather be accurate and know!

leeanneo07, thanks for the awesome idea! I can't wait to try it!!!!

I would suggest taking at least one day off to rest (and do some gentle stretching as others have said). I went too intense with not enough rest days and am now fighting with my achilles tendon. My doctor and physiotherapist both said that they too injured themselves doing 30DS! I'm now modifying workouts to compensate for…

Bump...with thanks!

Start with small manageable goals. How much water will you drink today? Do you want to work on healthy eating AND exercise, or just starting with one? For me, my greatest successes come when I plan. Today is a great example. I'm totally stressed because someone I love is having a medical procedure today. I knew today would…

That is AWESOME! Congrats on your great weight loss and for being such and inspiration!

Yaaay you for working on getting healthy. From someone who has a lot of weight to lose, I know I just had to do it in my own time. My husband was a great support. He never ever made comments about my weight or asked me to work out. I really appreciated that. Now that I'm ready, I find that when he notices what I'm doing…

One option.....if you want the accountability of attending weekly meetings and seeing others face-to-face rather than online, TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is an alternative to Weight Watchers, and it's about $30 per YEAR. You could use MFP to track your calories and attend weekly meetings without the excess cost.

Yup....you fell off the wagon. But it sounds like you're ready to get back on board. Pick a few small goals to start with, and find success. Somebody recently told me that nothing tastes as good as skinny. Thinking that thought has helped me to make a few better choices recently. It's all about one choice at a time. You…

I've been reading a lot in these forums, and apparently MFP has a lower protein ratio that what many people prefer. You can adjust your settings to change the proportions if you want.

Doesn't have to be just Christians, but thought it would be nice to have friends who are integrating their faith into this weight loss journey. Just another angle for support!

I'm on day 21. I'm 44, 5'8" and in total am striving to lose just over 100 pounds. I lost 40 over the last couple of years, but had a real setback last year and gained 20 back. So I'm starting again and have lost 5 so far (weigh in tomorrow and hoping for great results!). I've got two girls still at home (8 and 6) and am a…

I'm mid-40s with 100 pounds to lose. Would love to have some support with other wonderful women trying to get healthy! Maybe it's time to start a group? :) It's a long road ahead, but we WILL succeed!
