  • 8/10 Exercised and logged under my allowance all week. No movement on the scales. Better results next week i hope.
  • Bumping this because you inspired me so much. Have been doing something similar (not quite as long, 40 mins) and getting some excellent results. Thank you.
  • They do like to make the packs complicated. As a rule of thumb, you can estimate that plain DRY uncooked carbs are about 80cals per 25g / 1oz - that goes for dried pasta, all rice and couscous. You are obviously weighing accurately, but this should help you know whether your maths is about right. And who wants to weight…
  • As US 14 is a UK 10, not 12! I know this because I'm a 12 and always feel stupidly delighted to buy an 8 in the states.
  • M&S are making a lighter double cream, it has a little cornflour in it, but it's still low calorie and low carb (3 for about 75ml). I have used it for panna cotta and it worked very well. You can cook with it, but it doesn't say that you can whip it and I doubt you can, but it's a good product. (also like m and s light…
  • This is amazing. And useful for making me commit extra hard to the food side of things
  • The sage will give it a very particular flavour, so you might want to go with laursoar's recommendation to use it for a casserole / stew - pork is also good with sage In the future, you might want to try just onion, carrot and celery as the stock flavouring, they are standard and very good. Then leave the stock to cook…
  • I think the majority of success is down to what you eat and drink (or don't) rather than exercise. You can lose without going to the gym. Maybe just doing that would get you going and then, when you're motivated by results, you might think that the gym will help you accelerate the loss. Or just stick some music on at home…
  • You might be hungry when you're going to bed - try eating last meal a little later. Some say taking magnesium helps with sleep. A cup of warm milk winds me down and puts me to sleep.
  • Tell your friends that you're really hungover and can't quite face a drink yet....as it gets later they won't notice whether you are or aren't as long as you're still having a good time. You could also reward yourself with a nice drink later on when you're less likely to get on the crazy merry-go-round. Working out and…
  • Here's some interesting information. I thought that Jockey's would probably know more about this than anyone.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/horseracing/8425902/Dominic-Prince-secrets-of-the-jockeys-racing-diet.html
  • PW: 161 CW:161 Strangely I'm quite happy with this. After I weighed in last Thursday am, and I was 161.8, I felt terrible. I couldn't believe I'd gained when I'd been pretty good. SO I weighed myself later and was 162.4! That was a downer. So this week I'm the same as last and as my SW. But I FEEL slimmer and fitter and…
  • I meant to catch up with my cal burn, but worked 12 hours yesterday and then made dinner and it was tooooo late. I went for it today and hope to do something similar tomorrow. I cannot do push ups. I have arms like string. Have done some big old sets of crunches though. My food diary has been very good and under since the…
  • Not a great weekend - again. Taken out to dinner on Friday and had parties on Saturday and sunday. Plus I worked all day on Saturday, so no exercise time. I have logged everything, over my mfp allowance but under total daily calorie burn. I've only managed 600 cals exercise so far, so had better jump to it.
  • Great, I take it that's a 2500 exercise burn in addition to daily calorie expenditure? That's a good level challenge for me, will have to ramp it up some! I was hoping you would never say push ups, but 10 sounds bearable and I will try. Of course will keep logging and 3+ workouts are essential to meet the new challenge. I…
  • Despite a real effort, I am the same weight (in fact half a pound heavier). That's with approx. 5000 calorie deficit over the week. I am trying to be grown up about it, but really I want to cry. I met the challenge. I will do it again this week. Sigh...
  • So I worked out this morning. That's 4 this week and I've walked over 10,000 steps every day. I have done my 100 crunches every day. I have logged honestly every day - including the weekend when I was not great. I have been under my TDEE according to my fitbit every day, even the bad ones, and under my mfp allowance 5/7.…
  • Also go see http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html I've used a few recipes from her and they've been good
  • I promised to compensate for bad sunday. And I really did. Completed my 100 crunches and a work out and walked 8 and a bit miles. (It was a holiday here.) Ended the day with a big old deficit.
  • The weekend is hard. Went for a long lunch with friends...But I did bite the bullet and log it. It was HIGH. BUT that doesn't mean I can't make up for it. Monday to Weds it's not too hard to be very good. That's three days before weigh in. Come on!!
  • Hi, I've just done a work out and did one yesterday too, plus my 100 crunches each day. I logged even though I didn't want to look, but hey ho, still in deficit thanks to the exercise. So, one more workout to make the three - and I reckon I'll manage at least one extra.
  • Did my 100 crunches (while feeling the previous day's). Drank plenty of water. Logged everything. I was a little over my mfp calorie allowance - even though I had a bun-less burger and salad, no chips for dinner - I did have some wine. But I was 500 under my fit bit calorie burn reading, so that's okay. This is good going…
  • I logged everything and was under my allowance of 1420 and well below what my fitbit said I burned which was 2032. Did my crunches - found 100 quite hard, but ticked it off. Didn't quite manage all the water, but will work up to it. I need to make some of the apple and cinnamon water that somebody posted in recipes a few…
  • There's a BACK ON TRACK challenge starting today for 4 weeks. Have a look in groups. We weighed in today and I'm sure you can get added if that's the sort of thing you need.
  • Wasn't quite as bad as I feared, but my ticker moved backwards :( SW: 161 GW: 155 (That would be pretty hard, but will go for it)
  • I think you're right, it's unlikely that they would / could make the noodles different (unless there's fewer of them) but if the flavouring sachet in the 450 version had an extra tbsp.of fat in it, that could account for 120 cals alone.
  • Hi I am April. I live in the UK. Work from home sitting down all day! Weight has been creeping the wrong way (my clothes tell me, I haven't weighed myself in ages and am dreading doing it today). I'm hoping that being accountable will help. I like the idea of 4 weeks because I will stick to something that length. And I'm…
  • It would be too wet. If you've ever made gnocchi, you know that you have to be careful with how wet the potatoes are. Zucchini are far more watery. It's not just getting the dough to cohere, but stick together when cooking. Then there's flavour.... You could always roast coin sized pieces of zucchini and serve them with a…
