Hello. Checking in day 3 of level 3. I'm beginning to quite like it now that I'm getting used to it. Can't do everything in plank position, but more than I could have a couple of weeks ago. Hope your back repairs, Kailexx. Sounds like your plan B was pretty hard core anyway.

Your approach is very sensible - doing each for 30 days and it sounds like you've conquered 1. It is time to move on to something harder and conquer that too. I think one of the reasons that people talk about L2 being difficult is that the last strength move is a killer - squats with v fly - so it kind of sticks in your…

Day 2 of level 3 done. I'm getting better at the arm crosses.
-
But your picture suggests you're a daschund - in which case, aren't planks easier for you?

Just finished my first level 3. Hmmm. I miss level 1. Maybe that says something about my fitness, but it seems that L1 flowed more and it felt like more of an all body workout. I will possibly revisit it when I'm done with this...maybe with heavier weights if possible. I had to follow Anita for some of these. The up and…

Me too times ten. I NEVER got any better at them. Will do my first level 3 tomorrow. I watched it with the sound down while on the phone...I can't tell which exercises are gonna kill me

Tuna, cannellini, tomato and onion salad - good with a bit of chopped parsley. And a new-ish favourite of mine is avocado, grated carrot, edamame beans mixed with some tinned salmon, a squeeze of lemon, dahs of soy and a little sesame oil. A sprinkle of sesame seeds makes it look pretty. What about buying a flask and…

I have just finished day 10 of level 2. I feel it most days, but can still do it. That's my rule, if I CAN do it, I do it. And you can always modify moves while you get used to it. I give it my best for the 20 minutes on the basis that it's only 20 minutes. I didn't take before pics, but my body shape has changed for the…

Day 10 of level 2 done. I'm glad to be moving on from this. See you on the level 3 board, I hope.

I wrote on the level 2 thread yesterday that despite being on day 9, I still have plenty of room for improvement. I think it's better to do the pendulum lunges a bit slower and do them properly. I'm tall, so I think that makes it a bit more awkward. Or surely it's okay just to do forward lunges if it's easier and it makes…

Hi Checking in to tick of day 9 of level 2. One more day and it's on to 3. I bought ripped in 30 yesterday, but I realised today that I have plenty of room for improvement with this workout. I really struggle with the last strength exercise. My pendulum lunges are not very neat and I ALWAYS fall over doing the military…

They're great. They are a REAL food, popular in Japan. I use them in all sorts of Asian dishes with meat / fish / tofu and veggies and they fulfil the carb role. They are not quite too-good-to-be-true, but they are good, although you might need to try them a few times to get used to the texture. Like anything though, you…

I've been away with no access. This morning I did DAY 8 (I think, will check!) of Level 2. I missed my first day yesterday because I was staying on a boat and there was no way I could do all that jumping around - walked 12 miles though, But going back to it today, I can tell you that rest does not help me! So, level 3 next…

I haven't taken a look at 3 yet, just believed others who said it's sort of kinder than 2. Don't tell me otherwise!

Well it is tough, but in a just-about-doable way. That 20 minute thing really helps. You seem to have the oomph to do it. Good luck and, er, have fun....

Hi, no internet access yesterday, but I did L2 day 4 and have done day 5. SO I am half way through. I also did a six mile hike both days of the weekend and felt so energetic. Not sure I'd let my husband watch me do this...he saw me at the end of it on Saturday and looked fairly shocked. I'm very red and puffy after that…

Hi there Day 3 complete. It was going a bit better today - until the last set, it is SO INTENSE. I can almost stick with the whole thing, but only with sweat pouring down my face. I will have to get up earlier to do this, so my face cools down and I can actually put my make up on without it sliding right off again. I think…

Level 2 Day 2. It's hard. I'm trying to check my posture in the mirror and not sure my planky oblique things are right. Still, I'm badly out of breath almost from the get go and much sweatier than L1. So it must be good. Have to try to keep it up while away for the weekend and next week when I'm staying in a hotel for a…

So most of us are aiming at a bikini. It's a big one for me, not worn a bikini for ten years. But I'm really starting to feel and see a change - my torso in particular. I'm really motivated by it. Perhaps we should go to Ripped in 30 when we're through with this. Because we are going all the way. RI30 is 4 levels in 4…

My first level 2 today. I quite enjoyed it!! Maybe just the change after 10 days of L1. It made me very out of breath. Nine more to go.

I have written a backwards (bigger to smaller) list of lovely classic clothes I own that I want to fit in to. Really, that is my guiding light. I am going to put them in one drawer tomorrow and have a trying on session every now and then. I love clothes and want to wear what I want. My big goal? I would buy a bikini for my…

Maybe it's not your body, it's your kit. Are you wearing the right shoes. I only say this because I started 30ds in some flimsy shoes and it killed my knees badly, I quit on day 6. A few years on, I am doing it again at about the same size with no probs and better shoes.

So, last day of level 1. I have lost 2 lbs (great, don't care about this so much - last time I managed only 6 days of level 1 and I gained a bit). More importantly, I've lost an inch off my waist which is amazing. And I can SEE the difference. I need it to work its way down to my hips and belly. Very motivated to get on to…

You got stuck in and did what you could. That is way beyond not trying. Hope you have more gas in your tank today.

The penultimate day of L1. I ache, but not so much that I don't want to do it. Last day tomorrow and I'm looking forward to some different moves. Might treat myself to some music tomorrow, now that I know what Jillian is going to say at every point (and now that I know when she says 'a couple more' sometimes that means…

Honestly, I was really hating it today, but I had to check in too. Glad you started this group, it's helping me.

I'm no great Madonna fan BUT back in her early days she said that she worked out every day because even if everything else in her day turned out no good (not exactly how she put it!) at least she had done one good thing for herself. I think this is so true and it stays in my memory. Not that it should make us careless, but…

That is fantastic. Well done. I'd be happy with half of that.

Level 1 Day 8 all done. I'm finding it harder and harder. Huff, puff, grunt, moan. But I can put my hand on my heart and say that I AM NOT phoning it in. I make those 20 minutes count. Looking forward to moving on to L2 on Thursday morning - even though I've heard it's horrid. I might try the 'landmark' black trousers on…

Day 7 done. I'm feeling it my legs the last few days, but that's good right? My least favourite thing is when she says 'just a couple more' and a couple turns out to be 8 or 10. I am determined to take some pics later today. I have my starting measurements, but I want to see what a difference this hard work makes.
