Extra light cream cheese mixed with marmite on dark rye - taste just like butter and marmite to me.

I don't have anywhere to put the pull up bar - would that be a deal breaker for this programme? (Not that I think I could do even one pull up right now.)

Lucky you. Fresh eggs are the easiest to poach. You can freeze the yolks but stir them a little with a pinch of salt first. Or, if you're really never going to want to eat them, find a friend who likes cooking, because yolks are great for cakes and custards.

That's brilliant. Maybe that's the way it's going to be and we'll have to put less emphasis on weight.

I can't stand the flavour of any of them, so I use Hellmann's light for sandwiches and philiadelphia light or extra light on ryvita or jacket potatoes. (And I mix marmite and philly and eat it on ryvita and it just tastes as good as butter to me). I've not found anything that quite replaces real butter on real toast. Both…

Have you tried couscous? Easy to make and very nice with roasted butternut squash, feta, maybe some chopped mint and toasted pine nuts.

Wow, really impressed, well done and well told. Thanks for sharing.

Just when I thought I couldn't love Robert Downey Jr more than I do already. God I need that quote tatooed on my palm.

Get a tape measure and record you measurements. I've gone through a very similar thing. Had my weekly weigh-in today and have lost nothing for two weeks even though I'm eating and exercising in quantities that would normally earn me a loss. But, I've also been shredding. I'm a bit peed off that I haven't lost anything,…

http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/cornbread-topped-chilli-con-carne-126 This nigella version with red lentils and kidney beans is amazing. It's flavoured with a bit of ketchup and cocoa which sounds odd but gives it a fantastic depth of flavour. I don't do the cornbread on the top, just serve the chilli with low fat…

I started it last week and completed L1 5 times before my weekly weigh in. I had the worst results that I've had since starting - lost on 1/2lb - couldn't move my ticker:( I also damaged my knees a bit. BUT I did feel smaller and tighter and now that my knees are better, I'm going to do it every other day and keep up a…

I quit halfway through December and tomorrow it will be 8 weeks and I'm really loving being a non-smoker. I have to remind myself that I can't have just one - once my resolve is broken, it's broken. So the way I see it, all I have to do is not smoke that one cigarette. Kind of makes it a bit easier for me.

Smoked salmon with a squeeze of lemon juice.

2.4 mile swim (3.86 km) 112 mile bike (180 km) 26.2 mile run (42.4 km) I'm in. Will hate the swimming, but tough.

I've had to give it a rest after D5L1, it was wrecking my knees. It's a shame, I felt like it was having an effect. Might start it again when i feel repaired, but not do it every day. Meanwhile, I'm incorporating some of the kinder exercises into my regime.

Dead honest, to walk fast on the treadmill I set it to 7.7km/h. At 8 (which is 5mph) I have to break into a slow jog. I'm 5' 10" which might makea bit of difference. If you feel you can step it up a bit - do it. Jogging for 30 seconds then walking again is supposed to be a good way of building fitness.

If you feel smaller, be motivated by that. And maybe start taking your measurements, they're more meaningful really.

Tracking food and exercise - it helps me incorporate what I like ,which makes the whole project tolerable in the long term. Zumba - I would do it almost every day Salad and Veggies - pad, pad, pad out those meals And MFP is great - why didn't I know about it before. Thanks to everyone who's added to the food database to…

I was doing the shred, and enjoying it, but got to day 5 and my knees were ruined. I have NEVER had problems with my knees and I work out quite alot. I also do zumba, the odd aerobics and interval running. The real bummer was that I could feel the shred was doing me good, I felt smaller even in 4 days, so I've taken what I…

You can make a HUGE difference in five months if you apply yourself. Best of luck. Hope MFP helps.

There was a good post yesterday about URGE SURFING which you could search for - it got me through my crazy last night. You could also try cooking a healthy version of what it is you want so much.

INcredible. Well done and good luck with those last few.

The trick, I think, is to just order one dish. Preferably a chicken, tofu or seafood stir fry. No rice, no crackers, or any extras. Then take a few spoonfuls of what he orders. And try to persuade him not to over-order. The other thing is not to sit in the same room as the boxes - keeping them out of sight helps. And enjoy…

I have a friend who is TERRIBLE for doing this. I have asked her not to do it but she continues regardless. If she comes to my house with it (chocolate, cookies, cake) I slip it back into her bag when she's not looking. SHE can eat it. We love each other very much, but sometimes female relationships are complicated too. I…

Bean sprouts, bean shoots, water chestnuts and bell peppers in Asian dishes.

Are there any fruit and veg that you like? What are your favourite meals? I do WW because I like to get weighed by someone. The plan does work for me, but I like salad, fruit and veg and cooking, and my other half does too - that makes it a great deal easier.

If you have an oven, you can make bread much cheaper. In UK it costs me the equivalent of $2 to make three small loaves, including the oven running. This is far more delicious than even the most expensive artisan bread. You'll burn a few calories with the kneading and aquire a skill. Once sliced I keep it in the freezer -…

I have the DVD - I picked it up cheap on ebay. I like it, but glad I didn't pay the shopping channel price. I've not exercised for over a month and it makes me mildly out of breath - probably enough for fat burning. The classes at my gym are much better - more variation in dances and higher impact. There's also the party…

My first weigh in today - I lost 2lbs. I'm really pleased with that. I'd give myself 8 out of 10 for effort, so this week I'll make at least 9 out of 10.
