I cycle to and from work, about 5 miles each way, 5 times a week. Overall, my legs are stronger, my overall fitness better, it has made running easier, and means I burn quite a lot of calories just doing my daily commute. Oh, and it saves me £120 a month in travel.

simples - it isn't too bad. There are jumping jacks and jump (pretend) rope in Level 1 - these are only for about 30s to a min at a time. I was worries about it too at first, but as it isn't that long, if it does bother someone, it will be over soon.

Breakfast: either granola, a little cerseal and homemade yogurt with fruit, or oatmeal with a little granola and some fruit (usually pommegranate). Mess around on the computer. Realise I am late from…

You could also do a "quick add" of some extra calories based on what you have left to make up for any under estimates.

Thanks everyone! It is great to have noticeable progress.

No kidding! My root canal a few months ago at an NHS dentist cost £47 !!! SOOO happy to not have to worry about insurance.

PS - don't throw out the drained liquid, as there are apparently many uses for whey, from using it as a skin toner, hair conditioner, in the place of water or buttermilk for bread and pancakes, and feeding it to pets.

You can lose weight either way. I was vegetarian for 10 years (including one year vegan), and then pescetarian for 7 years. I started eating meat for the first time in 17 years in January. From October to December I lost 15lbs (5lbs a month) eating veggie but HEALTHY and exercising. From January to today I have lost 10lbs…

I put your stats into this website calculator: http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx And got about 250 for 40 mins at that average heart rate. Double check all your settings are correct, including your age and max heart rate. If it is in fact accurate, although…

I used to feel nauseaus when faced with food first thing. I used to wait until I had been awake for a few hours to eat (so 9 or 10am), then I started just drinking protein shakes first thing in the morning. I found it easier to have liquid rather than food. Eventually, I got used to it (drinking my breakfast combined with…

I had my first root canal a few months ago and I was terrified, but it was genuinely FINE. They gave me an injection of anesthetic at the start and I didn't feel anything. The only uncomfortable thing was having to hold my mouth open for so long. Don't worry, it is better to get it done sooner rather than later and it will…

Mine is: 150 grams oats 100 grams each of various nuts, including chopped almonds, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, chopped walnuts some flax seeds if you want cinnamon and nutmeg to taste And then add whatever sweetener you fancy, whether agave or maple syrup (I use pommagranate molassas). I only use 2 or 3 tablespoons and…

I don't like the fishy taste either so I will only eat white fish, which I find to be very mild. Regardless of how I try it, I can't eat salmon. And with white fish (tilapia, cod, monk fish, haddock), it is very mild the fresher it is and is seasoned well. I like cajun or blackening seasoning or anything else that is a…

I'm sure I read somewhere that you should eat fruits and nuts when hungover, as that will ultimately make you feel better than what you are actually craving (foods high in fat and carbs). And drink LOADS of water.

My starting weight was 189 and my initial goal was 160, but now that I am at 165, I have revised by goal to 150. I chose 150 because it is at the middle of the healthy BMI range for my height. And I haven't been that weight in about 10 years!!

I am also at 1400 cals per day and I could never keep to that alone (even though I only eat clean foods and loads of protein, minimal carbs and sugars). So I exercise to get more calories. I am not comfortable on less than 1600, but I keep mine set to 1400 and exercise 6 days a week, and even on my rest day I go for a walk…
