Take a minimum of 1 rest day a week 2 would be better. You have to give your body/muscles time to recover and repair. And yes, you need to be eating more than 1200 calories a day.

If you do say something, make it clear what she said and how it offended you. Also that you would like her to remain a friend but you won't tolerate being treated xxx way. Otherwise, choose to forgive so you can let it go and not let it burn negatively inside you, then maybe distance yourself somewhat. Good luck.

I've recently reduced my carbs and upped my fat intake and I feel great and I dropped some weight after being on a several month plateau. I did this based on reading about some people who had success with fat loss due to a ketogenic format. So I read up on it, and adjusted my macros. The idea is to get your body burning…

Congratulations on accomplishing everything you did to get healthy! You look amazing and happy. Be very proud of yourself and also what you've learned on your journey about exercise, proper nutrient needs, your mental strength, and being healthy. Awesome that you've completed so many runs, I just added the C25K program to…
What is embarrasing is that I'm a dog trainer. I never let my clients meet my dogs because I would be out of business.
That is hilarious!

Ours was also very athletic/physical/adrenaline junkie vacation. We did zip lining, waterfall rappelling, white water rafting, snorkeling, and parasailing. (And relaxing as well.....massage) I believe for a couple of reasons. 1. I felt confident in myself (both appearance & physical capability). 2. I had told myself that I…

That's funny. Mine are usually pretty good at going and laying down and letting mommy get her workout in, occasionally I'll have to boot one off my yoga mat or they'll move when they see the kickboxing start.

I have had success with the at home DVDs and am not interested in having to go to the gym. At home I can hop out of bed, feed the puppies, get dressed, pop in my DVD and workout. I don't have to drive to a gym and it doesn't matter how I look, which is easier to stay motivated. I've done a couple of Biggest Losers, several…

Going good. Had our vacation and only gained some water weight from the long flight home which I dropped within 2 days. My macros have been pretty good, doing better on my sodium intake, been eating cleaner(less pre-processed/boxed), and getting 6 days of exercise per week.

It used to happen to me, but not so much anymore after exercising consistently for over a year. It used to be anywhere from 3-5lbs, now it's 0-2lbs. Also, TOM is when I am most tired and need to ensure I get plenty of sleep, but it's also when I get my best workouts in. So go figure. I read that it has something to do with…

Yep, love the Jillian DVD's for cardio as well. Just gotta do what works for you and keeps you motivated!

Good to know, thanks! I'm currently finishing week 5 of P90X and I completed CLX in December and would like to do it again. I'll probably give this a try but it will have to wait until after I've finished P90X, I want to get through it all and I love it! You don't like P90X yoga? I love it except for the time length but my…

Fantastic that you were able to find the culprit of her health issues and also spread the word on MFP.

I only did it once. It gets you moving definitely and I'm sure if I had done it several times I would have gotten the moves better, but I just felt uncoordinated and didn't really like it at all. I much preferred the Burn It Off and Burn Intervals or just another cardio workout like a Jillian Michaels DVD.

I'm still good with the same weights that I used in CLX(we have the PowerBlocks w/add on plate that range from 10-70lbs with 2.5lb increments if you want). In P90X you are exhausting the same one or two muscle groups throughout the particular workout DVD; i.e. shoulders, chest, and triceps; you are exhausting the tricep…

I did not, but I remember some earlier posts of people who liked them.

This has been my philosophy for the past year and it works. But you know what? After the initial month I didn't desire it, crave it, want it anyway! Win.

I watched this about a month or so ago and bawled. So inspirational and heartwarming. I love his spirit and that he never gave up!

How long have you had it? Initially, it goes off your age and the stats that you enter, then it actually begins to average out based on your true daily numbers what it thinks you will burn that day. Then of course, updates to the actuals.

I began having the same issues with my Polar FT7. Sporadic readings or 00 heart rate. I have always washed mine in the shower with me but maybe I'll try the washing machine. I've already replaced both batteries thinking that might be the issue, so if this doesn't work I guess I need to replace jus the strap.

I log it under the activity on FitBit and then let FitBit sync with MFP. I do make a note under the exercise on here so I know what I did each day if I went back to look and also so that my accountability pals can see which workouts I did each day. I believe when you log your exercise on FitBit it calculates and adjusts…

Are you wanting a DVD program? If so, I loved ChaLean Extreme and am currently doing P90X and saw results. I also have heard the New Rules of Lifting for Women is awesome, I have download the book on my Kindle but haven't read it yet as I'm in the middle of my P90X program.
-
0 I didn't miss any (although I didn't do her yoga thing, I did my own)
-
She gives you examples of what she uses then you'll just have to adjust to what you need, have you lifted before and can use a medium weight or are you new to lifting and need to start lighter? Of course you'll use heavier for squats etc and lighter for certain arm or shoulder moves. You'll write it all down and be able to…

I do P90X, just finished the first phase. We're on vacation right now but phase 2 starts a week from tomorrow. I'm already seeing results! Exciting!
-
Once a week, every Friday morning. I used to weigh daily, but I learned I could trust myself, my body, and my workouts. I'm more focused on BF% now than the scale.
-
We're on vacation and just had chocolate dipped strawberries...yum. I know it's more expensive but I'll take the fruit and veggies over the fast food any day!
-
I like the "she craaazzzy today" too and also the "oh no she didn't, oh yes she did"!
-
Just moved right on into the next phase.

Too funny! I just read this to my husband and we cracked up!
