I'm not sure what that program is, but any form of exercise, along with healthy eating, will help you lose weight. If walking is all that you can physically do at this point then do that, just trying to increase it as you go on. The more weight you lose and the more fit you get the more you'll be able to do!

I never lie, but on days when I know I'm going to be bad (i.e. last weekend when I was attending a wedding) and I know I'm going to go over my calorie goals I don't bother logging at all. Days when I'm focused on meeting or coming in under my calorie goals I log everything I eat. No point in lying to yourself.

Any activities where you are moving and getting your heart rate up will help you burn more calories. Start out with walking as far as you can, keep trying to add distance to that. If you run short on time start jogging a bit during the walk to be able to keep adding in the distance.

I gained 30 pounds during my wife's pregnancy! Got 10 of them off so far, now working on getting the rest plus the 15 or so I was overweight with already. It's not easy, but now that she's able to work out it definitely helps.

I go through 6-8 liters per day. I love water though so I probably drink a lot more than most people.

I'd look in to Insanity, P90x or one of those from Beach Body. You don't "have" to do them 90 days, you can do them as you can, just know that the results are better if you do them for the 90 days.
