  • There are a few good recipes on allrecipes.com.
  • Yes, this is crazy. It was -1 actual temp and snowing when I left the house this morning.
  • Love Seasons 52! I first found out about it in Dallas and then discovered they had one here in Chicago! So Happy! I had lunch there today and it was awesome. I love that their entire menu is in the MFP database. The food is so good.
  • OK, I fell a bit short of my goal of 280,000 steps in Feb, but 247,490 is not too shabby, given that I spent at least two weekends "binge watching" House of Cards on Netflix.
  • Whole Food sells it as well. I usually get Dulse and put it in salads, soups or smoothies.
  • Yoga or binge watch TV. Just finished House of Cards.
  • Go for it. and just keep training at the pace you are now. This will be first your 1st 5K, but not your last. Just look at it as your trail run to see what it is like. You won't make an idiot of yourself. Lots of people walk the 5K so you will hardly come in last. You'll love the camaraderie and the adrenaline rush you get…
  • Maybe. If I understand your question correctly, I think the more educated people get about their food choice and their sources and the benefits may make an impact on the choices they make. Are you refering to things like over-fishing, organic vs inorganic, locally grown, free-range and such?
  • Yup. I've gotten that one. And yes my mom thinks any race is a marathon. But she's so proud when she tells her friends I'm running another marathon (5k)
  • I actually didnt know this and I totally go spray crazy with my Butter Spray. So do I assume that every 5 sprays is about 4.99 calories?
  • That's not slow. That is a normal and healthy rate.
  • An overweight, out of shape person is going to burn more calories walking/running/cycling as a fit person walking/running/cycling at the same pace. so maybe a HRM is the best wy to go.
  • I like Ripped in 30 much more than 30DS. I've done it 3x already before moving on to Body Revolution. RI30 is tough, but if you got through 30DS you'll be fine and appreciate that she chages things up more frequently.
  • You may want to try Ripped in 30 because she does change things up more often than 30DS. However I really think you will like Body Revolution. It is a 12 week program but at least you don't have to think out what you're going to do next for the next 3 months, right? I just started week 5 today. I started this after…
  • The Flex does not have this problem.
  • I think P90X would be considered circuit training. The most accurate way is to get a heart rate monitor and see how much you burn then make it a custom work out to enter in MFP.
  • Lightly Active: Spend a good part of the day on your feet (e.g. teacher, salesman) Active: Spend a good part of the day doing some physical activity (e.g. waitress, mailman) Which one sounds more like you? If you dont have that type of activities every day, then opt for the less active. and add on activities as you do them…
  • First all of, you are gorgeous, and two, it’s your body and you know how you want it to look. I was afraid I was going to see some emaciate girl, but you look really healthy. Toning and strength training is always a great way to shape the body. If you don’t get thinner, you will get stronger and that’s always a good look.…
  • Change is sometimes scary, because it's the unknown and different. Try a little at a time. If you get anxious and want to keep eating , try something new, like a walk around the block, or pop in an exercise video, try yoga. Re-arrange the closet. Call a friend or relative you've lost touch with, write a letter. Think of…
  • Yum. I'll have to make that.
  • Due to staying out too late at a jazz club last night, I did not get in my Jillian this morning, so I will doubleup tomorrow and be back on track. I did however take advantage of the ice skating rink a few blocks away during my lunch break and skated around for about 15 minutes.
  • The Total Gym takes up a lot of space, so take that into account They had one where I had my physical therapy and I had to use it for one of my exercises. You should google Total Gym reviews. There are a lot of reviews on Amazon, that should give you a good idea. I think for the most part people like it.
  • Great Job!!
  • What a great question and great posts! I love the comment about the finish line and reaching your "goal" weight.. It is rather counterintuitive to keep running after the finish line or kicking past the goal, isn't it? Maybe we just need to switch up our thinking and have our goal be to maintain a healthy lifestyle for the…
  • That's the best way to do it. Not getting any rest in is why people get hurt and don't finish.
  • What caught my attention, was that you mentioned that you were drinking senna tea. Senna is a natural laxitive and stimulant and shouldn't be taken on a regular basis, just as you would not take any stimulant laxitive for more than a day or 2. it compromises the function of your bowel muscles. Below is an excerpt from an…
  • I have a Force and I am sitting at my desk, and my ticker says 5,085. So I am going to wave my hand around wildly. Ok, some one just waved back at me . . .checking my fitbit. Still says 5,085. OK Raula, you owe me now. The person I who thought I was waving at them was carrying red velvet mini cupcakes and thought I wanted…
  • Congratulations, ChickenPie:drinker: I think that you will really like Ripped in 30! I did it l 3 times after the Shred. Now I'm on my 4 week of Body Revolution, which I LOVE!
