You need a new PT. Michelle is right, your BMR is around 1585, which puts your TDEE at 2457. In order to lose weight, you should be eating around 1960 a day in order to lose weight. NOT 1400. That is too severe of a deficit for you.

Unless you have a medical condition where you need to watch your carbs, don't worry about that. Carbs are not hindering your weight loss. Weight loss (again, unless you have an underlying medical condition) is purely calories in versus calories out. Based on your stats, I figured out your BMR and TDEE. According to those…

3 1/2 weeks to go! Had my strep b test 2 weeks ago. Next appointment is this Friday. This is my first so I am super nervous! I can't believe it's so close!

How tall are you, what is your weight and how old are you? 1200 may not be enough for you especially with such a little amount to lose.
-
I figured out your BMR and TDEE and it looks like you are seriously undereating. You only want to lose another 15 pounds or so, so eating 1200 with the amount of exercise you do isn't going to work. You don't have to eat that little to lose! According to the calculations, you should be eating around 1800 calories a day to…

It's only been two weeks. You only have 10 pounds to lose, so you need to be patient. Also, I figured out your BMR and TDEE. You should be eating between 1500-1600 calories a day in order to lose weight. You don't need to stick to 1200. If you chose 2 pounds a week weight loss, MFP will default you to 1200 calories. You…

If you are using the MFP method, yes. There is a deficit factored in before exercise. Not eating back your exercise calories creates too large of a deficit. If you use the TDEE-20% method, no. Exercise is already factored in.

I just calculated your TDEE and BMR from the stats you provided. Lowering your calories is not the answer. Your BMR is 1742 and your TDEE is 2701. Which means you need to eat around 2160 calories. You aren't eating enough. http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/

Using your stats, I figured out your BMR and TDEE. Your BMR is 1421. Your TDEE is 1954. In order to lose weight the right way, you should be eating between 1500 and 1600 calories a day. Not netting less than a 1000. You are severely under eating.

Great read, thanks!

Short ribs with the best mashed potatoes ever at Spago in Las Vegas.

My doctor said it doesn't necessarily depend solely on diet. If diabetes runs in your family, you are more likely to develop it. Also, you have had it before, it puts you at risk for it with a second child. Was your last baby a bigger baby? If you have had a larger baby (almost 9 pounds or more at birth), that could be a…

I will be enjoying the day with my 9 month old daughter. I am due June 3! :-)

its not an argument, its FACT we can not look at all calories the same, because the word calorie, is actually talking about what the food does inside your body as its converted into energy , and we all know that processed sugars will cause mayhem in the body , so the calories they provide are not good enough to sustain us…

My first trimester was the worst! I lost a pound from being so sick. I am currently at 20 weeks and have gained 1.5 pounds. Trying so hard not to gain super amounts of weight!
-
Ask your doctor. :-)
-
I am 19w2d right now and thankfully because of MFP I have only gained 2 pounds so far. I know a number of women who gained 60+ pounds and had a really hard time getting it off. I don't want that to be me! The doctor told me 25-30 pounds is the most I should gain so I am aiming for that. :-)
-
Hi everyone! I am due June 3rd myself. Finally feeling better and cannot wait to find out on Friday what we are having! :-)
-
My first trimester was the worst. I was sick and exhausted all the time. Being exhausted during your first 3 months is totally normal. It will get better, I promise you!

19 weeks and up 2 pounds as of this morning.
-
I am 18 weeks 3 days. I had awful morning sickness myself. Still get a little nauseous from time to time, but for the most part it has gone away. It will get better! :-)
-
I just hit 17 weeks and was sick as a dog my first trimester as well. I had a doctors appointment last week and asked about this very topic. She told me to not start an exercise regimen now, especially not one like boot camp. Talk to your doctor before starting any type of fitness program while pregnant.

Hi there! I am 16 weeks with my first and am really nervous about gaining too much weight. So far I have only gained a pound. I had really bad morning sickness my first tri, so keeping anything down was hard! lol
-
Ok, do damage to yourself then. have fun.
-
Read what the other posters have been saying. You can do damage to your body and you won't keep the weight off by creating too big of a deficit. It isn't big whoop.
-
Week 15 here! This is my first baby. Needless to say I am so excited, yet scared to death all at the same time! lol

Your profile says you have OCD and severe anxiety. You need to seek help about this. If you really think you are overweight or "obese" as you put it at your weight, you need to seek the attention of a doctor. Seriously. Get help.

I usually cook on Sunday nights for the week. That way I can bring a home cooked meal I can reheat in the microwave. I find a ton of recipes on skinnytaste and cook enough for 4-5 days worth.

If they have a website, all of their nutritional info should be on there. Many times the info is already in the data base here.
