  • It has less refined grains, which is what you want to watch if you are pre-diabetic. It also helps people with high cholesterol, hypertension, etc. They do have a plan for weight loss as well as the regular plan which is to keep your blood sugars and cholesterol in check.
  • I have several autoimmune issues as well. I just got off a big dose of steroids and gained weight during that time. I'm still sick and having sinus surgery soon to help alleviate that problem. I have no energy to work out and sticking to a meal plan is tough right now.
  • Cyanide. Lol, ok I'm done here.
  • How about some people add stuff to it for variety? How many people add fruit and other things to OTHER types of shakes mixes for a little variety?
  • Given that sucralose hasn't been in use for very long, it's long term effects are unknown. Some studies are now showing that it's unsafe: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/262475.php http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/03/splenda-blood-sugar-sucralose-insulin_n_3362122.html…
  • We can afford it and we love it. I've tried others and didn't like anything as much as Shakeology. I don't sell it either. I don't understand why people come here and rip on someone who doesn't think the way they do. If you don't agree with someone, you can state your opinion without condescension or arrogance. My feeling…
  • I just started Shakeology and I love it. It's filling and it tastes good. It can be a little gritty if you don't blend it long enough but other than that, I love it. I have a host of health problems including autoimmune diseases, horrible TMJ and IBS. So far the Shakeology gives me something tasty, filling and nutritious…
  • I'm feeling like this right now. I'm so frustrated and tired of hurting.
  • THIS! It's a fitness/weight loss site. Therefore you will have DIET QUESTIONS. With all the threads going on here, I find it amazing that any of you have the time to go through each one and express your disgust with how this person or that person chooses to approach weight loss. GET OVER YOURSELF. Log off, go outside and…
  • WebMD said CLA worsens diabetes and shouldn't be taken by anyone with a metabolic disorder. A lot of CLA supps are made of oils like safflower. Safflower oil, as an example of one Omega 6, is in a lot of processed foods. If you eat processed foods, you are already getting enough omega 6's through your diet. Too much Omega…
  • I've never tried that! Thanks for the tip.
  • The body protein and the whey protein are amazing. I highly recommend these products. http://www.unikeyhealth.com/product/fat_flush_body_protein/smoothie_shakedown If you get the body protein mix, blend it a bit longer because it's really gritty if you don't. The chocolate whey protein is SO GOOD. I usually mix a little…
  • I'm the same way. I put Miralax in my coffee every morning and drink lots of water during the dat. I also take probiotics. When you have IBS-C, eating lots of fiber and drinking things like insoluble fiber drinks can make it worse. Miralax is over the counter and it pulls water in from other places in your body to your…
  • I was on Simponi (a once a month injectable) before pregnancy and then resumed it again after the birth. It didn't work as well as it did before so I switched to Enbrel and do that once a week. (By the way, if you inject it in your stomach, it hurts a lot less than if you do it in your leg.) I am on prednisone, which I've…
  • I am on Welbutrin and Lexapro and have not noticed weight gain from these meds.
  • I got the chest strap HRM and I go by what it tells me. My resting heart rate is a bit higher than the average person's. I burn about 500 doing 30 mins on the elliptical and since it's telling me my peaks and valleys for my heart rate, I've found it to be very accurate. MFP will say I burned at least half that.
  • Jack Stack is all right. Gates is damn good. Oklahoma Joe's is good too.
  • I just got my first batch of this today. Not too bad! I drank the chocolate kind with almond milk. Next time I will blend it with some frozen berries. http://www.unikeyhealth.com/product/Whey_Protein
  • I've been on prednisone since I was pregnant last spring. I had to go off all my RA meds and that was the only one I could be on. I haven't been able to control the pain ever since, even though I started my RA shots back up. Right now I'm only on 5 mg a day but I can't lose a pound and although I only gained 30 lbs while…
  • I feel for this poster. I've been on it for over a year and it's not enough for some of us to just "wait it out" and try to lose weight when we get off the prednisone. It's extremely difficult and frustrating! I am there with you. I hope we can both get through this and lose some pounds.
  • I didn't know MFP adjusted it for you. This site adjusts for each week. MFP, from what you all are saying, adjusts with each ten pound loss. So not exactly the same.
  • Check the drop down boxes to enter in KM or LBS. If it's waaaaaay off, then you put it in metric (or lbs.) Depends if you use the USA or metric system.
  • Good luck, I look forward to hearing about your experience. I hope you get some relief soon. I'd just like to go low-carb in general. Maybe just start with cutting carbs from my evening meal.
  • I like it but haven't baked with it.
  • Dark chocolate Jello pudding cups. Mmmmmmmmmm :)

  • Interesting. I find the term "grain survivors" to be a little dramatic. I don't think asking for sources about your opinions (which are stated as fact, not opinions) merits you getting on a soapbox. Just curious. I have autoimmune diseases. I went off gluten. I went off dairy. My symptoms did not abate or disappear. I find…
  • I think eating whole foods is a wonderful thing, especially if they are all organic. Personally, I'm not sure how anyone knows that paleolithic people were healthy. Are there preserved tissue samples that have been analyzed? DNA extracted from their teeth perhaps? I don't understand where the science is behind this so if…
  • Where are your sources saying grains are causing autoimmune disease?
  • What size of pan? 13 x 9?
  • I've noticed that trainers just don't get it. You can't push a Fibro patient so far, so fast. Don't let him push you to do anything that hurts.
