I can relate to A LOT of what you said (even about living in Chicago! though I only did for two years) and I am so happy that you've made such a phenomenal and positive change in yourself. "Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself." Keep it up, and good luck on the marathon!!! :flowerforyou:

I have wanted to try going raw for a LONG time, and we did try for a little while. The biggest problem in my opinion (past that addiction and longing for comfort from warm, cooked foods) is the need for preparation. I mean, to have variety so that you don't get bored with being raw, you need all the tools: juicer,…

Actually, I think the greatest hurdle to becoming vegan after being a vegetarian for a long time was thinking past the 'wow veganism is hard' state of mind, and trust me, that was a HUGE hurdle. Becoming vegetarian was very easy for me (I sat my chicken sandwich down on my plate, mid bite, and never touched the stuff…

I LOVE this! And I second everything everyone has said: Breakfast is the best.

Okay, so I'm in an interestingly tragic situation. I've been vegetarian for 9 years now, vegan for 1. As a vegan I'm an expert at getting all my protein, vitamins, etc. However, less than a month ago I discovered that I am hypothyroid (at my annual gyno appointment, of all places! just another reminder, ladies, these are…

That's so great! Keep it up! And never get down on yourself for a day or two (or three!) of splurging, you're back into it now and feeling great, you deserve it! :flowerforyou:

Hello everyone! Just joined yesterday so I'm pretty darn new. I'm usually a farily healthy and active person, but due to some medical issues, in the past 3 months I've gained over 10 pounds and lost an incredible amount of motivation and energy. I've always found in the past that keeping a log and having lots of great…
