  • YES! You will!!!! Feel free to add me as a friend. It takes a good support system to succeed in this weight loss. We are all here for the same reason. We all want to look and feel better. When you enter food in your food diary, it really puts things into perspective and makes you accountable, which for me was huge in…
  • I lose inches before I lose weight, and by losing inches, I am able to fit into smaller size clothing. I now have a 29.5 in. waist...and can fit into a size 7 or a 9, just depends on the style and name brand of the clothes. Tommy Hilfilger clothes run big so I can fit in a smaller size, compared to other designers.
  • Feel free to add me...the bigger the support group, the better the results!!!

  • It sounds really good. I make a spinach lasagne that probably tastes similar AND I use whole wheat noodles, reduced fat mozz cheese and part skim ricotta. It is really good and inexpensive to make, just like your ravioli lasagne. Thanks for the recipe!
  • I was told by my personal trainer to buy 100% whey protein and use it either as a meal replacement or a snack. I bought plain and banana cream. I would mix the two with water and it was very good, but I stopped drinking it because it makes me break out. Not sure why, but I get enough protein with the foods I eat anyway.
  • http://www.sports-hoop.com/main_instruction.aspx I just found this website which explains HOW to use the Hula Hoop (yes I spelled it wrong the first time). I learned that since it's heavy, it is easier to keep up rather than falling (however, it's a better work out to hula with the lighter plastic hoops).
  • Eating fruit is GOOD for us, whether we're watching our weight or not. I agree that it depends on what KIND of fruit to eat. Watermelon has more sugar than say, canteloupe. Green apples have less sugar than any other type of apple. Hope this helps.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss!!! I can definitely see the difference from your before and current pictures. Way to go!!!!!
  • The best way to lose weight and KEEP it off is to do it gradually. But I'm sure a quick loss can be done. My daughter purchased diet pills, and I NEVER encourage them. I'm only bringing it up because she just got them in the mail today (and I told her to send them back because no 16 yr old should be taking diet pills).…
  • First thing you need to do is go to a dr. to get your blood work done. That will let you know if you have a thyroid or hormonal problem. I also have some loose skin from losing weight. As far as I know, there is nothing that can be done, short of surgery. There is no amount of creams or lotions that will tighten the skin.…
  • There is a tab that you can click on above which lets you "find members" and "invite friends".

  • Thanks everyone! I really do appreciate your input. As far as my daughter goes, I try to remember how I was with my mom at that age, and it was not pretty. I did things I'm not proud of, so I guess this is my punishment. Now I know how my mom felt when I was driving HER crazy. I'd never admit that to my daughter though. I…
  • My personal trainer told me to limit my fruit intake to jumpstart my body. Sugar, in any form can be a bad thing when trying to lose weight. After viewing your food diary, I noticed that your sodium is way over the limit. And you're not drinking any water. There is water in fruit, but it's not enough. My suggestion is to…
  • Another thing to get rid of is the 2% milk and go with non fat milk. Regular peanut butter has way too much fat. I LOVE peanut butter and just found a health food store that grinds their own butter from fresh peanuts without the added sugar and sodium! However, I heard that almond butter is better...it has less sugar and…

  • *IT puts things into perspective*
  • I think it's important to log EVERYTHING you eat, even if you go over your calorie intake. It really does hold you accountable, which is the biggest reason I love this site so much! I puts things into perspective and if you go over one day, you know NOT to do the same thing the next.
  • Welcome to MFP! I'm fairly new here too, and I love! You will find very supportive people here! Good luck to you. Feel free to add me as a friend! A good support system really helps!!
  • If he IS here and sees all of us remarking on how much older he looks, that he will just gain the weight back.....just saying....
  • I think Drew looks older too!!! How weird is that!!! You would think that after losing weight he'd look YOUNGER! I'm sure he FEELS so much better though!! I thought for sure he was taking something to help with the weight loss. Although, if we had as much money as he does, we could all afford a personal trainer AT HOME…
  • The summer coming to an end way TOO fast!!!! I have to go back to work next month...and that means going from 4 spinning classes a week to just one!!!! :o( I'm so worried that I'm going to ruin all the work I put into my weight loss all summer!! I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • As someone stated, reading motivational stories really helps!! It puts things into perspective! Everyone has days like these, but you have to remember your goal and keep pushing forward. Find friends who can be supportive, including people from THIS site. Just like it takes a village to raise kids, it takes a village (or…

  • I hate the scale!!! I had a personal trainer who told me I should weigh myself every day, but I don't because when I do, it goes up and down (lately it's going up and staying there). I get discouraged when I see it going up, HOWEVER, since I work out 6 days a week, I know I'm doing a good thing for my body. I FEEL thinner…
  • I WISH we had a store here in SW Florida that offers double coupons. I'm originally from Connecticut and there is a grocery store that offers TRIPLE coupons..at least they did when I used to live there, years ago! I LOVE coupons and I LOVE saving money even more!!! Food here in Florida is WAY too expensive!!!!
  • I've seen the infomercials and insane is an understatement!!!!! I thought about buying it, but since I'm off for the summer, I just go to the gym every day. I also purchased two DVD's to use for when I have to go back to work next month. One is by Cathe (don't know her last name), and the other one is by Jillian Michaels.…
  • Wow you've come a long way!! Congratulations on a job well done!!!
