If I am saving up a punnet of raspberries for myself and the kids ask for it, the answer is no, but they always have the choice of another kind of yummy fruit and I don't do it all the time. My mum always bought chocolate and bikkies as her 'mum' food and then wouldn't let us eat it EVER, which was one of the reasons I…

It's only an initial drop Ishtancon, a bit like me dropping 1.8kg in the 3 days since I got back to tracking things. It's not going to keep going like this and I don't want it to, but I'll take the boost from that loss and run with it ;) Oh and I eat all normal food and have lost my weight in the past doing just that. I…

I'm 37 with 40-45kg to lose :D Love exercise and am back to it, recovering from a broken leg.

It's not just the UK press! We always hear about her latest PR stunt over here in Australia, which is usually followed by interviews with her and then arguing between the masses. She may very well have a point, BUT nothing that comes out of her mouth is worth listening to IMO, because she's a nasty, fame hungry, waste of…

She is a revolting woman, who will say and do anything to get her face on tv. She specialises in being inflammatory and pitting people against each other. For example, fat VS skinny, breastfeeding mothers VS bottlefeeding mothers, working mothers VS SAHMS, childless women VS women with children etc etc etc *gag*

Sent a friend request OP :D

Just start going and before you know it, you'll either WANT to go, or you'll just go because it's a habit and makes you feel good :D
-
lol Well maybe I SHOULD do that :p

Eating in front of a mirror? Is that to make you ashamed of yourself???
-
Me too!!! I'm back to walking and did 4km yesterday, so was so excited! I'm 19 weeks since surgery, how far are you?

I'm a morning runner. I have a banana, or a piece of toast with peanut butter and slices of banana if it's later and then get ready and go. I find that I'm too tired in the afternoons and it feels like I'm running through mud. eta I'm happy to walk or do other exercise anytime, not just in the mornings. edit no 2 I…

ps the mental side of things is so hard :( Try to keep busy and get people to come around or take you out xo

I'm recovering from a broken fibula, which required surgery to have a plate and 6 screws put in. I'm 11 1/2 weeks out from the break and 10 weeks out from surgery and in the last week I've managed to get onto an exercise bike and hobble around the house a bit more. About 3 weeks after surgery I took my hired wheelchair out…

Hi OP Firstly, I want to send a huge hug your way. I can see that you really love your baby and that you're trying very hard to look after her. I don't have time for the huge response I want to write, as it's late at night here, but I do want you to know that I understand. I developed eating disorders at around the age of…

Gosh, reading this thread is so depressing! I broke my fibula 2 1/2 weeks ago, had surgery 1 week ago and am already going BONKERS! I was doing a lot of exercise, including running up to 15kms prior to breaking it and I am missing it so bad. I will say that I seem to have lost some weight though, so that's one positive. I…

1 cup of cooked sushi rice (so 1/2 cup uncooked) is approx. 213 calories.

I over pronate and have very wide and flat feet. My Mizuno Wave Paradox were $230, but I'm in Australia and everything cost more here :ohwell:

I prefer to listen to podcast interviews, but I ran a 14km event yesterday with a random mix of music (I only had one ear phone in and didn't have it too loud) and it was pretty good. Very surprising, as music normally annoys me BAD.

Just a quick report in to let you guys know that I haven't had a flare up for ages now, so it looks like gluten is the big one for me! I won't ever be going back onto it, that's for sure :) I hope you guys are doing ok x

How did you go with getting a plan sorted? :)
-
Nup, sounds all good to me :)

I normally have a warm shower, but after my long run yesterday I was left in a lot of pain (abnormal) and resorted to an ice bath. It was sweet, sweet relief and I will do it again if need be. I had a hot shower afterwards then compression pants for the rest of the day. IMHO = in my honest opinion ????

I love it and yep, it kicks my *kitten*!!!
-
AyaRowan, OUCH! And I agree, getting the right shoes for you is key.
-
Nobody else can tell you what goals you should have, that's something you need to figure out yourself. Why are you exercising? What do you hope to get from it? Asking yourself those questions is probably a good place to start ????
-
Wow, you're doing so well! I would pretty much keep doing what you're doing and take in some of the suggestions if you'd like ???? I am always mindful of my pace, but mainly because I don't want to run out of steam before I'm done. Listening to your body is key IMO.
-
I don't, but I'm not cleaning for 2 hours a day even with kids here ;) If I was doing 2 hours of full on cleaning a day, then I might log half??? If you're not eating them back though, I wouldn't worry about it.

It'll definitely get easier :)

It's pretty flat where I run (thank goodness lol) and my long runs are up to 13kms at the moment (doing 15km for the first time this weekend), tempo runs are 4-5kms depending on what I can fit in and I do intervals for around an hour or an hour and 15 mins. I'm in Australia, so not sure of the miles equivalent? I also only…
