Anyone Doing Les Mills BodyFlow?

I found threads on most Les Mills classes, but almost nothing on BodyFlow. The online info says it burns more then 300 calories, which made me skeptical, but I took the class today and was dripping with sweat by the end. Granted, I'm 50 and have been an exercise slacker for a couple of years now, but boy did it make me feel out of shape. I'd love to know if there's anyone else who felt that way and if it got easier over time. I've never been particularly flexible, although I did yoga years ago. I felt very clumsy, but thankfully the instructors are encouraging to newcomers, and I figure that if the class whipped my butt, that's a good thing. I plan to do it twice a week, but it would be nice to know there are others out there doing it, too, and if it got any easier over time.

Good to hear that you are doing body flow. It does make one sweat. It helps so much with the other exercises and daily activities that you do. Helps me with my balance. Keep it up.

I can see how it's great for balance. I'm surprised that it doesn't look like too many people are doing it here, but if it's that much of a butt kicker for me, I figure I'd probably have a heart attack in one of the cardio classes.

That's the one Les Mils class that I am not going to be doing. Unfortunately, my flexibility is really really lacking. I know it improves flexibility, but I don't think I'd be able to do any of the moves.

At the health club here, they encourage you to modify if needed. If that wasn't the case, I wouldn't even make it halfway through!

I did my first class today and was also dripping with sweat at the end. I have a hunch if I keep going I'll be a stone cold fox ;-) That was work.

Indeed, it is a workout! I'm glad that it is, even though I was picturing something a little more low key. My heath club also offers traditional yoga, but I think Body Flow is going to give me a lot more of what I need.

Yup! I show up for BodyFlow about once or twice a week. I already have a consistent yoga practice. . .so I would so it does get much easier with time! The ab tracks are always my favorite and for certain the most challenging track of each class.

Although I don't consider this class "tough" I still always sweat :) and I believe it burns more calories than your run of the mill beginner's hatha yoga class at a gym.

I just started BodyFlow a couple weeks ago! I only go once a week (lift 3 and cardio 2 outside of that) and I've already noticed increased flexibility with the class. I'm definitely going to keep it up, the ab portion is my favorite!

I just started back to it last week. (By the way, I'm 50, too!) I think it is a great workout. I plan to do it once a week for now, right after a spin class that I do on Saturdays. I'm needing lots of help with flexibility and balance.

I did it about 5 years ago for quite a while, and it did get better over time. I was very pleased with the results! I was able to do so much more of it, and much more gracefully, after getting into it for awhile.

The abs are my favorite area too because that's what I really need. Actually I need flexibility too but I really want to tighten my tummy so I love the challenge.
