If you plan on being a legit runner, then you might want to pay the $40 for a good fitting. However, I will tell you that spending money on a good pair of shoes will do wonders.

I wore them when I used to play basketball to keep things in place and never had a problem. I think the only time you'd have problems is if you were a marathon runner and "compressed" things for hours a day.

Just Dance is a killer workout, especially if you can't dance like me lol. You can find a lot of workouts on www.bodybuilding.com or youtube that you can do at home.

I tried to convince my wife (vegetarian) to start drinking one a day, but she won't. She thinks supplementing is a waste of money (though back in the day when I looked good naked she didn't say anything :P).

Mine registered way under. I'm near 25% bf, not 15% like it says.

^^^^ This, and also why are you not doing upper back exercises? Its just as important as your lower back.

Dear OP, Welcome to MFP, where honesty is rude. If you want people to coddle you and set your weight loss back months, then go somewhere else. I also suggest taking a few moments and browsing the first few pages of each forum you may be thinking about posting a question, as it has most likely been answered...multiple…

Lift as heavy as you can to complete 8-10 reps (with good form), struggling on the last rep. My opinion is 3/4 heavy lifting to 1/4 cardio.

Prednazone isn't an anabolic steroid, you'll notice no difference in your lifting.

I actually just heard a health guy on the radio talking to a plastic surgeon about this. The plastic surgeon pretty much said that, if after diet and exercise, they were lopsided or still there, surgery was the only option due to genetics. I'd rather diet and exercise first, then if I was under 15% bodyfat, then consider…

I was going to get the Jawbone UP, but since its release its had horrible reviews.

You won't get super muscular by going to the gym, you don't have the testosterone to get "big" or "bulky." If you weight train, you will burn fat faster than if you don't. Read New Rules of Lifting for Women.

I didn't get an e-mail this time, so it wasn't me (finally!). :P

Agreed, it isn't any different than Golds/LA Fitness "professional rep counters." However, the professional rep counter at Golds/LA Fitness isn't telling you to do complex lifts at high levels of fatigue. I said in an earlier post, I wouldn't pay for a Crossfit membership, but I would entertain the idea of incorporating…

Sort of wrong, but sort of right. Moderate cardio will not jeapordize muscle, but extended cardio will. If you limit your cardio sessions to 30-45 minutes, at moderate intensity, you should be fine.
-
Go under the cardio section and enter your strength training workout there, there's a category. Now as to the protein, ideally yes, but for someone who is overweight seeking weight loss, no.

Go to the doctor....and see below responses that will concur with this statement.

I don't think P90x is too terrible for beginners, but they do make a Power 90 workout program (a precursor to P90x). However, many people thought Power 90 was too easy. I did p90x and enjoyed it, but I don't have the drive to exercise at home. In all honesty, any workout you're willing to stick with is a good beginner's…

Great article: http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance_investigative/the_truth_about_crossfit The thing I didn't realize is that the "Creator," Greg Glassman, is fat and out of shape. You'd think he'd be in great shape creating such an awesome fitness program...at least Tony Horton…

You could've just had a bad day....it happens.

Most martial arts is not a great workout. You really have to do your research and visit a bunch of dojos to find one you enjoy. Most should have a free session or two, so try it out. Also, if they have insane belt testing fees (some have them in the $100+ range), go away. If you want martial arts purely for fitness, go to…

I currently take NO Xplode as well. There are cheaper options out there, but you can still find a deal on it.

Here's another link to another set of numbers, which seem more realistic to me (not because I have a better chance at getting them lol! http://exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/StrengthStandards.htm

Any workout is better than no workout at all....however, strength training combined with moderate cardio is the way to go.
-
I don't like the uniform or traditions of most martial arts, which is why I don't take them. Plus, most are useless anyways.
-
Lets be honest, most dojos out there don't teach you much that's applicable to real world threats. If you're educated enough to study a useful martial art, most people don't practice it enough to use it reliably in a high stress situation, or learn the right mindset to actually use what they learned to its fullest extent.…

You're hurt, which means you're only out, at most, a couple of weeks. If you don't rest, you'll become injured, which will derail you for a couple of months. Take weeks over months.

See if your gym has a wifi connection to piggy back off of.
