  • Not yet but starting looking at ones I could train for. They seem to be great motivators! With my obsession with the mouse I was bummed I did not start training earlier as they had a princess half marathon at Disney the weekend we were in Orlando. Who knows maybe next year. The full Disney marathon looks fun but that seems…
  • A week ago I was feeling the same way! Tired with no energy. I had been exercising, so I was not understanding as I usually feel great when I do that. I decided to up my calories. Changed MFP from losing 2lbs to 1lb a week. I increased my calorie intake by 300. (1200 to 1500) I feel so much better and the scale moved more.…
  • i know what you mean about being programmed to lose it fast. I think you should make it a longer journey. I noticed my attitude is changing about how to lose weight to more of a change of life kind of thing. The other day I felt bad because I did not exercise in a couple of days. I had to remind myself it was ok that I was…
  • I am going to be honest. This is another reason I like MFP. I have become much more educated than before. My BMI was always about 23-24 most my life and then I gained weight and entered the "overweight" category.(27) My immediate family is all small and petite. I was not around very large people so I was very…
  • Congrats! It is an amazing feeling isn't it? I wanted to post several weeks ago that I too ran my first mile. I never thought I could do it. I have increased each week and yesterday I ran 4 miles! Think that is my max for awhile but I can't believe I did it and I feel great. My dh told me it gets addictive. I think he…
  • Ok so I just discovered this site last month that you put in your measurements and it will tell you what shape you are. Evidently there are 8 different body types. This site helps you so you shop for your body type (so clothes look better). It was funny cause their suggestions was what I normally went for. It was fun to…
  • Op here. Thanks you guys for the info! So i decided to try and up my protein to the higher portion the past few days and I finally broke the stall I had on the scale!!! Granted it was only a 2 week stall but it was starting to get me discouraged. I also ran my first mile and a half ever yesterday. That might have helped as…
  • What is this about rolling it out with a kitchen roller? LOL I am willing to try anything on my inner thighs. Leaving for a trip and am really frustrated as i used to like my legs and now I want to wear bermuda shorts all the time. So does the cellulite cream really make a noticable difference? How long before you see…
  • you can add me. I am right at the top of both of your scenarios!
  • Add me please. Need the friends too! lol
  • Is this perhaps while I am stalling? For the past few weeks it has been more like 46/22/32 (that was last week) and a little better the few weeks before that. I always seem to go over on proteins and under on carbs and fat. So I am confused.
  • I was already counting calories and such before I joined and lost some weight. I love this site thought and am so glad I found it. Thanks for your help and I agree it takes time but it seems losing weight is such a phycological thing. Half the battle is in your mind and not what you are actually doing. It is for me at…
  • I like cooking homemade stuff and think it is healthier in the long run. You sound like me and go for the easy to count calorie stuff. I love the recipe tool on here. Just type in your ingrediants and divide by how many servings it makes. Best to measure everything out precise to get best calorie count. Then just click the…
  • I noticed it was a hit too. Picked it up today. Starting tonight!! We will see?? Hope it works although I seemed to be obsessed with the number on the scale and am nervous because of muscle gain the number will not go down. Need to get over that! LOL
  • I have always been curious about this as well. So basically everyone seems to be 50/50. Only one person has come back with actual articles regarding this. Guess I will go with their opinion or maybe I will just continue to be curious about this topic. LOL
  • I think it really depends on the store. The higher end brands seem to do the vanity sizing more so than say target or the cheaper clothes. Although I will say Old Navy seems to not even keep a consistency within the same size. It depends on the color there! LOL
  • OK I admit I did it. I wanted to lose those 30 pounds that always seem to stick around. I will say it is very difficult. I figured hey I have never done a fad diet why not try it just once. I did initial phase about 3 weeks and lost 17 lbs. However I do not feel that is accurate as I gained 6 eating at the phase in. I was…
