I agree with you all. I am thin, but have worked my butt off since January to lose and maintain where I am at. I guess my feelings weren't hurt, just annoyed that people assume if you are thin/ lean, you must not eat. MFP has really shed a lot of lught on portion size and making choices.

For me, weight went first, then as I started lifting more, the inches. I have weighed 128 pounds for about 2 months, but am a size 2/4. I don't think I was ever a size 2/4, even in high school!

Too many vote for certain people (Obama) because it's trendy or cool without understanding the ramifications of their actions. Really is sad. Totally agree. Now with celebrities throwing fundraising events, it just proves it's popularity over issues.

I have an 11 month old, a 3 year old and a 5 year old. I get up at 4:30 to go to the gym, get in an hour and get ready at the gym. I then go to work by 7:30. At first I thought I would never stick to it, but I've been doing it since January and don't mind. I actually feel more awake during the day :)

I have the NB Minimus and love them! It's like wearing hard- soled socks, they are so comfotable. Plus, they make me correct my form when doing squats, etc, because you are actually using your own body to correct form instead of the shoe. I have arthritis in my knees (I'm only 33 :( ) and these help me sooo much!

Not wanting to stop losing and switching to maintain.

My weight hasn't moved in about a month but I have gone from a size 6 to a 2/4. I've decided the scale is a good gauge and confidence booster in the beginning, but the results are what I care most about. Don't let weight determine how you feel. Look for the positive changes in your body :)

I hit my goal, and dropped it down 5 more pounds. It's not a wanting to be sinny thing, it's a challenge to myself that should end... sigh.

If you do strength training with little to no rest between sets and different strength moves, you will increase your heart rate, making it effective cardio as well. Think step ups, with weights, and between sets, do arm strengthening moves with free weights :)

I do as well, but I tend to eat the Chobani yogurt and Luna bars as well. I will admit I have about 3 gummi candies at night, but I don't like to deprive myself of all sugar, or I will fail miserably! I reached my goal of 17 pound weight loss today after almost exactly 2 months! I don't think the sugar really effected me,…

I started this in January (13th) and hit my goal today! I lost 17 pounds, but this is the first time it was easier for me. I didn't expect immediate results, so I was actually satisfied with 1- 2 pounds per week. I eat whatever I want, but have learned a lot about how portion sizes effect my diet. Not eliminating things is…

I try to look at a menu of where I am going and calculate before I go. I have not excluded anything from what I allow myself to eat, but I have learned a lot about portion sizes. Anything, in moderation, is not bad, especially if it's occassionaly and you include other great things throughout the rest of the day.

We pay about $96/ month for our family of 5. It is a YMCA, so there are a lot of classes included, free babysitting while you work out, pool (which we do on Sundays, family day, after my husband and i drop the kids off in babysitting for an hour while we work out) and a great fitness center and free weight room. I figure…

Vacation to Mexico in 3 weeks (yay!) followed by the summer. After baby #3, I really wanted to get back in shape.

One other thing to consider, I know you are 20, and a waitress. When I was 20 and a waitress, I tended to go out a lot and to parties. Perhaps beverage consumption can play a role.... Keep eating right, and if beverages are obstacles, you may have to adjust your lifestyle ;)
