  • Simple porridge. 180ml of semi skimmed milk and a big handful of blueberries. For afters, chopped walnuts mixed with diced pink lady apple and maple syrup.
  • Yes, take your old shoes to the store as well. Asics always seems like the most popular brand and they don't have to be expensive. Mine cost me £40 ($60) and are money well spent. Tell the people at the store you have a budget of say £40 - £60 and they'll get the best shoes for the price. I would also recommend good…
  • Don't quote me on this, but I think your running style is already set. It's the same run you've had all your life. When I startd running I had some Nike Air Max and they weren't good enough. I realised this when I bought a pair from a good running brand. Asics. I felt like I was running on air, and they greatly improved my…
  • Screamers. I feel soooo sooo embarassed for them.
  • That sucks. In the UK, McDonalds have all the calories and nutrional info on everything they serve. They even have it on the main menus!
  • Sunderland, England, UK. It's 3:51am as I only finished work at 1am and have been playing Xbox :D
  • In the UK some of the best running shoes are Asics, New Balance and Brooks. My first runners were Asics, set me back about £40 ($62) But take the other peoples advice...get a good fitted pair, they will make you feel like you can run forever. Also, get some good running socks. They will save you from blisters. Also, get…
  • Gotta be a large chicken tikka pizza. Not that I miss them Oh no. It's only been about 2 month, 9 days,14 hours and 23 minutes since my last one. But I don't miss them.
  • Porridge oats is probably the best cereal you can have. Very low in fat and slow release energy it'll keep you going until dinner time. Made with semi skimmed milk it's about 200 cals. I got a 1 kilo bag from Aldi's for about a £1. That's a months supply! I love it with fresh blueberries or a dash of honey.
  • Set the treadmill to a speed which is between your fastest walk and your slowest jog., a speed you are confident with. Jog for as long as you can at that speed. Next time your'e on it aim to go further and longer but at the same speed. Concentrate on your breathing. Aim for a couple of K at first. When you're comfortable…
  • I'd been going to the gym for a couple of years when my friend decided to start with me. Well he was new to the whole gym scene and was quite taken aback by all of the lycra clad women, his eyes were out on stalks lol. So my friend, also being a bit hard of hearing, was trying out some equipment with his earphones in. He…
  • Good running socks. The first time I did 10k I had a big blister on my foot. I bought some Adidas Formotion socks and the difference was HUGE! They felt really comfortable and my feet felt as good as new after a good run.
  • Porridge oats for breakfast. Spaghetti Bolognese for dinner. Wholewheat pasta and lean beef mince.
  • Looks like it's peppers for me from now on. Great news as I love peppers! Thanks all :D
  • I don't think I could retrain my tastebuds either lol the smell, taste and texture of onions makes me cringe. Although I have ate lots of foods with onion in, I would prefer to cook without them.
  • Cool, thanks, I'll try some of those the next time I'm cooking :)
  • I like this lyric from one of my favourite songs I listen to while on the treadmill.... "What if I say I'm not like the others? What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays? You're the pretender What if I say that I will never surrender?"
  • Apparently, coldness is a sign that your metabolic rate is dropping, one of the signs of starvation mode. Try upping your calorie intake by approx. 100 - 200. (google search)
  • The treadmill at my gym faces a brick wall too, there is a TV next to it but it's always showing that Clubland TV crap. I just put my ipod on, pick a spot on the wall and run to that spot. I know I'll never get to that spot because it's on the wall but what's the point of hitting a target? You only stop when you get there…
  • If it's your guilty pleasure then do it. It's more of the feel good factor. A happy mind = a healthy attitude. I enjoy a drink now and then. Also, I used to work in a hot factory, making glass. The glassblowers drank beer on the job. It replaces more of the minerals and salt lost through sweating than any water would do.
