  • I had one on my back from doing crunches on a very thin yoga mat on a hardwood floor. The other bruises I have are normal for me tho.
  • Ok. Today's work out was much better! Even better than last week in some spots! I still kind of hate her :) by the third circuit I am whipped and can hardly make it through any of the moves! I feel on the plank an twist thing I am not twisting far enough? Anyone else feel that way? This is level 2 last ab circuit. She…
  • OK, how do you post pictures anyway?
  • The camera. I took a photo with my cousin on my birthday and went "wow is that how I really look?!" Put batteries in the scale and realized I needed to get it in check. To be fair, I was still in a healthy weight so no one else felt the need to say anything.
  • My weight has gone up since my last weigh in and it's been hanging out there for awhile. However my boyfriend notices that I'm getting slimmer. I'm thinking it's better to not worry about the scale too much and watch our body composition. We're really challenging our muscles so there's a lot at play there!
  • I take lots of breaks still. I think I am going to hang out at Level 2 until I can make it through every set with no breaks.

  • I always lack protein and I read that helps your muscles rebuild themselves. What is the brand you use? Muscle Milk?
  • I do the TDEE method and do not log calories burned. It was easier for me that way because it gave me a balance for the entire week. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
  • I'm going to add you! I think our stats are similar, you're just a little younger than I am :)
  • My boyfriend told me he is starting to see changes in my body. He called me chicken legs:laugh: (meaning my legs look thinner) and last night told me I looked slimmer through my waist, butt, hips, and thighs. My size 8 pants feel baggy in the butt/hips after a day and I'm not over flowing out of my 6's as much anymore.…
  • 27 years old and work full time doing payroll and HR for a construction company. I'm also a student working slowly but surely towards my degree in business management. I pay as I go so I can graduate without student debt. I have a boyfriend of 7 years who can eat whatever he wants without gaining an ounce and he had said…
  • I'm 5'4.5". Currently 135 but I have plenty of fat to get rid of on my gut, thighs, & hips. I want to get between 125-130 but I also want to have muscle definition. So, wherever my weight ends up will be where it ends up if I am happy with what the mirror looks like!
  • I wish I found this group sooner! I will take measurements tonight before I start and a note for what day I am on. Some progress tracking is better than none I suppose! Thanks again for doing this!
  • For those of us with apple products https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/calories-burned-calculator/id510333521?mt=8 Mine says 187.53--Seems like it should be more than that! Oh well. I'm working my butt off so that is what matters, right!
  • I moved to L2 early because I did not feel challenged enough. If you feel you're not working hard enough you could try to kick it up a notch. If it's too difficult than go back. I watched a video of L2 before deciding to move up. Yes LOTS of planks though...they're killer.
  • I have to drop down for the shoulder raise and also whatever is the last strength move in circuit 3 of level 2. That one is just as horrible!!!!!! Did 10 for just about everything last night. Thought I was going to die. It was awesome :) I admit I am envious of the women that have muscular arms (without looking like body…
  • Here are my stats & goals: 5'4.5" 27 yrs old SW: 150 (1/1/13) CW:135 (8/15/13) Goal1-133 Goal 2-130 Goal 3-128 Goal 4-125 Ultimately I'd like to end up around 125-130 depending on how I look and feel Non-scale goals -lose fat and have more muscle definition -be able to lift heavier -be able to run a mile in under 9:30 I'm…
  • Finished the 2nd workout of level two and I'm convinced that Jillian is trying to kill me! Wow! And that was even with lots of breaks....love to hate her!
  • Ok so this sounds like a really stupid question. I'm the odd duck who will not have measurements off day 1 (since smart me didn't take any) and I was going to do my measurements today. Did my workout already, if I measure after my workout will that make them bigger/inaccurate (idk about increased blood flow or swelling or…
  • A few years ago when we had a gym membership I would lift weights with my boyfriend. We did dumbells and chest press (I think is what it's called) so I am thinking I still have some strength from that.
  • When I worked out at Curves, she would measure across the boobs when doing our monthly measurements
  • You and me both!!!!! Sweat was pouring off me and the strength moves kicked my butt! (or, arms rather!)
  • Thanks everyone. Ok, balance over time :) that makes sense!
  • I did not take measurements from day 1. I'm on day 6 now, would that be ok?
  • Great post! I've been looking for something similar to this to give me an idea. I found one website but they had only 1 photo for each % and with the variances in womens' body type it was hard to even get an idea. Thanks for posting this thread. Great motivation!
  • Yup the side lunge move as well as the pushups. I did get through the first set of push ups doing "big girl" pushups but the 2nd set dropped the knees. Also the first set of crunches where you're working the lower belly pooch...I have a yoga mat on my hardwood floor but it still hurts my spine. Not enough cushion.
  • I'll be starting day 6 today. I did day 5 yesterday but I did not feel challenged and I'm not sore so I think I am going to jump into level 2 early. Have not taken measurements but my pants feel a bit looser.
  • Thank you for pushing me when I want to stop. When she talks about feeling uncomfortable and that is where the magic happens...body is getting stronger..body doesn't change by taking it easy...etc. That is very motivating. On another note...some of the stuff people are posting is just down right horrible. Looking like a…
  • I'm thinking of changing to level 2 today. I am not feeling as challenged. I watched a preview of the level 2 workouts and they look like a lot more fun! I think I might switch early. I'm not sore anywhere this morning! I can't tell if I've lost any inches or not, I didn't think 5 workouts would be enough to make a…
  • Every one still going after the weekend?? I took Saturday off from the video and went hiking. Sunday was off completely. Back at it today! Increased weights to 10 lbs with the exception of the side lunge/arm raise exercise. Also did some full push-ups. Still need to get better so I can stay off the knees! Getting kind of…
