  • L1D3 done last night! Calves are now killing me! I am guessing it is from the jump rope moves. I will do today and tomorrow and break on Sunday. Next week I aim to do the last 5 days of level one M-F. I can not wait for the rest day!
  • That is actually what I was doing! And switched to TDEE because I thought it would be simpler. I'm not exactly sure how many cals I'm burning doing the shred. I have a bluetooth HRM and I was using MapMyFitness to log the workouts. Under "other workout video" it said I burned 125 cals and doing the exact same workout under…
  • http://www.skinnymom.com/ http://undressedskeleton.tumblr.com/ http://www.sparkrecipes.com/ Honestly I get TONS of recipes off pinterest.
  • I did day 2 of Level 1 last night. Feeling it in my back and my shoulders for sure! My upper body strength is lacking! Using 5 lb weights. I think for some of the arm exercises I can go up to 10 lbs because my arms are flailing everywhere and I feel zero resistance. I have a bluetooth HRM and I've been "tracking" through…
  • I love the BlissTree website for health advice on REAL women (not ones that have a personal chef, trainer, etc) http://www.blisstree.com/2011/11/08/food/what-it-really-takes-to-look-like-a-victorias-secret-angel-hint-a-stupid-diet-128/
  • Did day 1 last night! My abs hurt the worst! And my arms...I could barely lift them last night to talk on the phone!!!! They felt like jelly! I HATE the last strength exercise..the lunge with the shoulder lift things! UGH! Will try to do better tonight!
  • I use MapMyFitness and just purchased the + for .99 because they said you can use your ipod through the app as well as the camera. However I have yet to use it, I just downloaded it today. You can track tons of exercises with the fitness one (not sure if mapmyrun, mapmywalk etc let you log other workouts or only runs/walks…
  • bump to follow...I have always been told that HRMs are the most accurate so that is what I tend to go off of. That's why I bought it. Always heard the machines are the most inaccurate.
  • I'm starting tonight after work! 1 day behind you guys, if that's ok! Never done it before. Looking forward to trying it!
  • I used my heart rate monitor for my hike yesterday and for a 1.5 hour hike (3.5 miles) I burned 652. This was walking 1 dog and wearing a camel back with water/snacks. I guess it depends on how strenuous the trail is too. When I walk on pavement for the same time/mileage it is about half that. Given the burn I got from my…
  • We're taking a family vacation to Cozumel at the end October...bikini is also my motivation! It fits but not as good as I would like!
  • 27 years old 5'4.5" SW=150 lbs CW=134.4 GW=125-130 lbs...depending on how my body looks/feels. I imagine I will end up somewhere in between.
  • Ugh tell me about it! It is the worst!
  • I'll add you :) I am trying to loose 5-10 more lbs depending where my body is happy. I need more friends on here too!
  • I'm 5' 4.5"....27 years old...starting weight was 150 and currently 134.4. I am in college and I do work full time. But I live with someone so we eat food quicker. I try to find time to work out but it usually comes down to work out or get an extra hour of sleep...and when I'm currently on 5 hours of sleep...I learned that…
  • I am 27 years old and 5' 4.5". I would consider myself between small-medium frame. My goal is between 125-130. I will see how I feel and look and just adjust when I get there. I think under 125 would be too skinny for me. My lowest weight was 127 when I was 21 and I really liked how I looked and felt. Feel free to add me…
  • What I do in these situations is plan in advance. My boyfriend and I are total pizza junkies...depriving myself of it does not work. But I arm myself with knowledge. I know how many calories are in one slice for just about every different place we get it from (obsessive much?? LOL) . We went to his mother's house for…
  • I pretty much will eat the same thing throughout the week. I make a casserole type dish for dinner because it is quick and easy to heat up when I get home from night school at 8-9pm. It is also cheaper! And breakfast is usually the same thing throughout the week and same with lunch. Mainly I do it for cost savings but it…
  • I just stay away from the scale. Just recently the scale was hanging out around 137ish before/during and then after it was down to 134.4...I just stay the course and hope to see a drop like that!
  • I stopped taking the pill probably around January or February. I do not remember when actually. I was wanting to get off the artificial hormones because I did not like how they made me. I downloaded an app to my phone that is a period tracker. I input my start date and end date and it learns what your average cycle is.…
  • I just bought one off of eBay. I think it's the H7 model. I don't know if that is the same one you're looking at or not. I've had mine for about a month or so. I love it!!!! Have not had any issues with losing connections. I have used it mainly for runs but I'm looking at using it for other workouts too. I use mapmyfitness…
  • Thank you. Glad to know someone else has been in my shoes! I am looking at doing online only classes next semester, that would give me better flexibility for working out!
  • Thank you, I get so confused. People giving different advice for the same thing. I was told before that I would not be sedentary because of walking around occasionally and it WOULD be considered lightly active. Though I could not understand how I could be lightly active with sitting for about 12 hours. TDEE with lightly…
  • I will focus on exercise more on the days I am not in class (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) for now. The semester will be over at the end of the month so I will have some more time to kick it into higher gear when that happens, until fall! Looking at what I've been doing has been probably over doing it M-Th and Fri-Sun (when I…
  • I have heart rate monitors (one bluetooth and one has a watch thing, both are polar) I bet I could wear the watch one (so I don't kill my cell battery with the bluetooth one) to get an idea. Start it in the AM and end it at the end it before bed. That would give me a pretty decent idea, right? Thanks!
  • Weekends vary but I for the most part I bet I could get be a lot more active on the weekends than I have been. Even if I have a ton of homework to do over the weekend, I could still get some activity in first thing before I start vs laying in bed drinking coffee!
  • I drive to my house on my lunch break to let my dogs out to potty. I can't leave them out because they bark at the neighbor's dogs and I get tickets otherwise! I am on my feet while I'm there in the yard playing with them so it is some. I also walk from my parked car to the light rail, take a 15 minute trip to the school…
  • Thank you everyone! Great suggestions!
  • It isn't just about losing weight, it is about tightening up and getting stronger. But I get what you're saying.
  • Ok, thank you! Good advice on the not depleting energy. Great point!
