Finally got back to the gym after a week and half of absolute hell at work killing my motivation to do anything else... Feels good!

I don't see why it'd be a bad idea to incorporate more of any of the items on that list, but I wouldn't count them as zero or calories "burned." Can't say I have ever felt hungrier an hour after eating an apple.

bump to try this one out.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

^^THIS^^ I've got a total of 60 lbs to lose, and I'm strength training. So far I've lost only 18 lbs, but lost 8 inches at my waist and two dress sizes. I weighed what I weigh now 2 years ago and couldn't fit into half the clothes I've reclaimed from my "when I'm thin again" stash. It seems like waste to me to work so hard…

Still sore from squats Monday. Maybe 75 lbs was too much... At any rate, going to do as much core as I can stand, then crash. Nice job everyone, almost through our first full week!

I push myself harder outside and end up with shin splints. It's much easier to ramp up my pace gradually and under precise control on a treadmill and avoid the debilitating pain that leaves me hesitant to so much as jog for days (weeks, if I tried to keep running). Ugh.

Somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour of Your Shape: Fitness Evolved on the Kinect. (Very precise, I know. I can't remember the last time I lost track of time while exercising because I was having fun!) I got a perfect score on the easy mode of Stomp It. The first time I played it, I got like 4 points and gave up after…

Man, my mouth is literally watering from all the awesome things in this thread. I've got to stop reading before I drool on my desk!

There's a few of you with a late start - I'll put in a handicap on the workout count. =)

Wow, I've gotta try these. Lasagna is my favorite.

32 minutes warmup and weights. Pushed my limits today, now I want to go flop somewhere and not move until morning.
-
bump so I can look at all the videos after work and add some links for mine. =)

Semi-recently (2 months ago?) scroll- ressurected on Area 52 for the high horde pop. We put a little weekend raid together and have been having a blast. I rolled a little newbling this weekend; I can't decide what I want to play in Mists. I have a druid and hunter maxed, but I'm considering switching to priest or pally for…

Awesome!

I played Kinect Star Wars in the dance mode for an hour and a half.

lol, love the after pic! And great loss besides!

o.O I think the boob size applicants are barking up the wrong tree.

I'll be making a thread for check ins every day. There's already too many for me to poke people who slack, but I'm playing with some ideas for people who want an extra push beyond saying, "I did it!" every day.

I like the Kinect games, I have a few different ones. I've been taking Team: Fitness at my gym, but I'm taking a break for a couple weeks. Mostly lifting weights at the gym and doing cardio stuff at home. I have the P90X dvds too; I've been trying to do Ab Ripper X every night before bed, but I'm not doing the system. Just…

If I understand your comment right about the body fat bit, scales are notoriously inaccurate for that measurement. It can vary by the amount of sodium in your system, if you're dehydrated, and other stuff. Mine told me I jumped 15% body fat in 20 minutes once, so I stopped bothering with it. If you're losing inches and…

Less tabletop than I'd have guessed, but there's a few others.. =) I got started gaming the day my uncle filled my tiny 5-year-old hand with 6-sided dice and helped me roll up a halfling. From there: Doom, Sim Farm (omg, still epic), and Lemmings. When my parents divorced, my stepdad graciously left his NES with me, and I…

Your body fat % and lean body mass will affect your weight goals. I'm aiming for about 125 lbs right now, and will adjust as I get to goal and see how it looks. I want to be somewhere in the range of 21-25% body fat, which would put me at 123-127 lbs with my current lean body mass. However, I want to put on a bit more…

"What time is it? It's time for lunch!" I sometimes sing this at work. I caught myself on the Outside song when we walked all our trash to the dumpster last week, but it was a close one. ..when it takes you MONTHS to find a purse you like that is large enough to hold all your stuff and the right style to keep apple juice…

I started drinking coffee everyday in January when my job hit a stress bubble, keeping me awake at night, and I've been on a weightloss plateau since then. (Before that, I drank coffee only when I'd stayed up way too late - once a month or less.) I've been reading some very interesting things about caffeine, cortisol and…

My favorite is actually about exercising, but that's part of this "diet" thing we do at MFP, right? My mom, upon joining my gym following a annual well visit that freaked her out. (High BP and cholesterol, obese BMI) "Oh, I don't need to swim anymore, my Rzr [dune buggy meets 4-wheeler] goes in the water just fine." "Why…

Desk job + STRESS = 60 extra lbs of me... I've got half my office doing this with me: www.fitbolt.com Every half hour, it gives you something to do, like a stretch or an exercise. Takes 30-90 seconds. Super easy to add a bit of activity to your desk job, but it's a definite plus to have someone else doing it too, because…

I still use the stop watch to get the time and duration. When I log it into MFP, it categorizes the training window on FitBit and adjusts its calorie count based on that. Then FitBit spits that count back to MFP, and adjusts higher if it thinks I worked harder than the standard exercise equation. (For example, if I tell it…
