Does it happen with all foods or just dry ones or ones you don't really like a lot? It happens to me when I eat fresh veggies like carrots or broccoli (dense ones) or baked chicken with no sauce. I just figured it is a little to thick for me or something. I'm sorry - I'd go see a doctor though.

I've never heard of it, but THAT sounds disgusting, lol.

Beans beans beans! :) And nuts, legumes. Peas have some protein as well.

I'd say sweet potato or some type of squash. Broccoli or asparagus or field peas. Or baked apples....ooh...that sounds delish.

Love these posts. Breakfast: coffee with creamer, 2 pieces of toast with 2 tbsp reduced fat pb, and 1/2 banana Lunch: 1/2 bag of Publix Premium Salad, true blue blend, and 1/2 cup baby carrots Snack: honey crisp apple - debating on the pb Dinner: chicken casserole (YUMMY with chicken, cr of chicken soup, sour cream,…

Thanks, I can't wait for that day! I refuse to do pushups at the gym b/c I'm so embarrassed, lol. I'd love to be able to do them in good form (8 of the 10 were in very good form last night - YAY!) so that I won't be so ashamed of my lack of muscles. :)

Thanks! I know, it's amazing, I think I could do 2 just a few months ago.

When I just need a quick salt fix, I'll grab a finger full feta cheese crumbles. YUM.

This is an AWESOME trick. I am definitely going to do this! I hate salt, so I'll be dousing my food with it. Sorry for the restaurants upped salt bill. ;)

Day 2 completed (just posting today). I have started and restarted this 30DS soooooo many times and quit around day 6. I have to keep going this time. Anyways, since I've done level 1 so many dang times from starting over so much, I was so excited that I did 10 regular push ups last night! :) I couldn't believe it. Then I…

I think another point to the serving sizes on labels is to count how many servings of grains/veggies/fruits/meats you get in a day. You need to have 'x' number of servings of each type of food. So if you get 5 servings of carbs, then you will be able to calculate how many calories you took in while you fulfilled that…

If you are out with people, one way to stop eating when you are full is to verbally and out load say "I am full." and push your plate away. That way you have told the people you are with that you are full and you most likely will be too embarrased to eat more. I learned that from a super skinny friend (not unhealthy…

Thank you, that makes great sense!

Cutmd - How many calories do you eat on fasting days when you break your fast? This is what I'm confused on and would like some help. I do eat normally on non-fasting days, but how many calories should I eat on my fast days when I break the fast?

Hey everyone, I kind of fit in with you ladies. I am 5'5 and weigh 142, so I am just needing to lose 15-20 pounds. I'd love to get down to 128, which is my wedding weight 8 years ago. After 2 kids in the past 2.5 years, I've kept on these few pounds and I'm not liking the pudge.

Thanks for the tips telcochik. I will look into Insanity, it really does peak my interest! Anyone else have a favorite?

This is going to sound counterintuitive, but it's the only thing that works for me. Just say no. No for a week, or several days. Once you get over that hump, it really won't sound all that good anymore. If you can just fight yourself for a week, try it out. Bring food with you so you have no excuse to go out. Or plan at…

I'm in for the challenge! I'm just now seeing this on Monday morning so I'll have to do my measurements tonight. I took my weight this morning though. Anyways, Abbie - we are right at the same goals, thereabouts. I'm at 142 and want to be down to 125ish..... so we need to hold each other accountable!

That's what I've heard. I really want to try it, but my house is not conducive to that much jumping around! lol. I've got hardwoods and it gets loud when doing a lot of quick activity like that. I work out in the mornings while everyone else is sleeping. If it is that worth it though, it may be worth finding another time…

I started a blog. Something to do with my late night times. It helps process a bad day and it helps "celebrate" good days by sharing it with other people. It is journaling in a sense, but a public journal. It is very comforting.

Oooh, great post! And great ideas! Love the play-doh idea. I never thought of that!

Something better than chips, though not as good as fresh veggies, is "fried" cheerios. I know, sounds WAY weird. Place non-stick cooking spray in saute pan over medium high heat. Pour in plain cheerios to a single layer and stir continuously with a sprinkle of sea salt. Remove from heat as soon as they start turning a…

WOW I just looked at your profile pics. You look amazing! You've changed that much in a year? You are definitely impressive and motivating. :) Keep up the good work!

Haha, you sound like me. :) Actually, I brought a single serving of soup to work. The office had a fresh veggie tray, so I dropped some broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots into the soup and micro'd for 2 minutes to warm up the soup. The veggies are "half-cooked" I'd say. I also have a plate of the fresh veggies munching on…

Ah, okay, thanks. Cooking kills the enzymes, which damages nutrients. I was thinking that vitamins and nutrients can't just "disappear" so this makes good sense. Thanks! :)

Get into some hobbies. Something that uses your hands. Try knitting while watching TV or starting a blog or journaling. Get into photography or cross stich. Find something to "do" with your hands where your mouth won't be looking for something to "do". I know exactly how you feel. Boredom eating is difficult to shake!

This sounds delicious!!!!

Corned beef comes packaged in plastic with peppercorns. You are right in that it comes in tins as well, but here, the recipe is calling for fresh meat from the meat counter.

Oh goodness, do you HAVE to go to Chili's? My family and I were planning to go there one night so I looked up the menu before leaving. I was sick to my stomach after looking at the nutritionals on their menu - we found a different place to go and haven't been back since! Even the stuff I "thought" was somewhat healthy was…

I'm not sure of the calorie count on these, but this is my absolute favorite muffin recipe. It's on my blog, but it is for a peach muffin recipe that uses vanilla greek yogurt. http://lyricsoflaundry.blogspot.com/2010/08/georgia-on-my-mind.html
