That's mostly my strategy as well ^^^. I either add weight with my chain/belt or transition them into muscle-ups (pull into dip position & go all the way up over the bar to straight arms). I can only bust out a few of those now & they're with some kipping, but getting better. Or other variations - pullup move hands…

First question... is it definitely a "mud run" vs a Warrior Dash or Spartan Race? Most of the time, a "mud run" is just that running in a lot of mud (& prbly crawling at some point), not a lot of obstacles. In a mud run my primary training would be just running. If it will have obstacles then I would definitely try running…

Yes, Pure Protein is a brand of protein bar, fairly common ones. And not too bad seeing as they actually have more proteins than carbs. And don't believe the hype about bulking. A woman bulking (without the use of steroids) is a myth; a very well perpetuated one.

Well, assuming you mean a weight loss plateau, at some point you'd need to start asking yourself if the number on the scale really matters. I'm sure you know that the same weight can look very different in terms of composition. So I think the StrongLifts program you're doing is a great move. But yeah, muscle will burn more…
