Does your husband support you in endeavors other than dieting? Ask if he will support you by suggesting and helping you make healthy food choices vs getting on your case. If he does not support you in other areas of your life, then that is an issue that must be dealt with and it may require counciling. BTW-- Saving…

I am 64 and have found if I log in ALL my exercose & ALL my food, even the milk I add to coffee or tea & are truthful to the amounts I am consuming & drink at least 8 glasses of water/day, I consistently lose 1#/wk. I was stuck at a plateau for more than 4 months & just could not get over it. Once I started with MFP &…

Is this 8 ounces????

I hit my goal, but want to lose about 2-3 more just to have that extra cushion. My diary is open, but lately sporatic, so look back in Feb when I was doing it religiously & losing 1 #/wk. If it was not for MFP, I would not have gotten to where I am.

I can see the difference...you are headed in the right direction. Keep up the great work!!! :flowerforyou:

I love nuts & seeds, so use them to make my own granola, that way I can get nuts without eating too many. In my granola recipe 1/2 cup is about 300 Calories, so I add 1/4 - 1/3 cup to a bowl full of berries and my unsweetened soy milk, and I have a satisfying breakfast that totals about 400 calories, and it easily holds me…

My sister says the same thing....she has to have the moon & the stars in the right alignment to start dieting and that never happens. I will tell you what I tell her. Start right now. Log in your food & exercise as that makes you accountable for everything going in and out......even if you go over your net calories for the…

You have to get right back into the swing of things right away. If you wait for the stars, sun & moon to get aligned, so it is a good time to start again, that will never happen and you will fall further into the abyss. (I know about that as one of my sister has that MO & she never gets started). I know it is not easy with…

I spent a whole summer once living on eggs, milk & cheese, so I know where you are coming from. One of my favorites are fritatas. They are essentially the same thing as AirCirlel posted except I put the mixture in a cast iron skillet and bake it in the oven. Once out, and cooled you cut it like a pie and can refrigerate…

If you have a long cycle/run/etc. Warm up those areas, then stretch before heading out. The warm up & stretch time is worth it. Do not stretch cold joints/area of the body. To help the pain, try icing the area after a workout if at all possible. Anti inflammitories are good to help the pain and reduce the inflammatin that…

I live a place where shoes are optional wear, so more often than not there are no shoes to take off.

When I go shopping for cereal I read each label looking for those with sugar. I have found that Cheerios and Special K have the lowest sugar. When I set up breakfast I have lots of fruit, 1/2 serving of cereal & my homemade granola, then top it off with lots of berries (what ever I can find in season). I have also switched…

I ;looked at the wgt range for my height and picked a number that was in the middle, then I went up just a little as I am older and if I was thinner I would look more wrinkled.

I like that idea of cheese. I never thought of using cheese cloth for yogurt. I use it for ricotta cheese, but it makes lots of sense. Thank you so much for the great idea!!!

Fantastic!!!!!!! I can relate to the feeling....I am wearing clothes I have not fit into in 10 yrs.....thank heaven I did not give them away.

My daughter told me about it and I just jumped in and will use it forever. I l ike seeing the numbers on what I have eaten & how much extra I can eat when I exercise. Guess I am a numbers gal.

Homemade granola is the way to go. I make about the same as Aircirclel. I have a banana about 100g (I grow my own), either oatmeal or cherrios (about 1/2 cup), with whatever berries I have on hand. This morning I had strawberries, blackberries, & blueberries and top it off with unsweetened soy milk. I love this combination…

I am 5'11" currently weigh 164 # & do some sort of exercise everyday...walk 6 miles, and/or do kettlebell, or swimm 1/2 to 1 mile. I want to make sure I am taking enough in on the days I really work out. Just want to get a handle on a decent range so I do not go too far under as there are days I am not hungry & force…
