I'm thinking of running the Pumpkin Man half triathlon this year. I ran 2 full marathons last year and plan on doing 2 full marathons again this year so the trick for me will be to fit the triathlon inbetween and not negatively impact my training for the marathon. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter

Did 3 miles this morning at 9:30/mile, felt pretty good. I ate good today 2600 calories, see if I have plenty of energy for my 7 miles tomorrow morning.

Yup, so true. This is one of my biggest problems too. My idea in my head of what a tablespoon or a cup of something looks like and reality are two different things. My head likes to lie to me and tell me that the portion I just put on my plate is a cup of rice and 4 oz of meat when its really more like 2 cups and 10 oz!…

Me too............. Sometimes I ask "Why me?" "Why do I have to have a weight problem?" but I guess everyone has a cross to bear in life and my weight is one of mine. I have been battleing with my wieght most of my life. I went for a 14 mile run yesterday and was so run down and tired from dieting that I had to cut my run…

I am allergic to oats and I am trying to stay away from breads so I like to eat a lean source of protein and carbs. Almost every day I eat what I simply call scrambled potato and egg. 1 cup Egg Beaters 1.5 cup of Simply Potato Shredded Hash Browns 1 tablespoon Olivio spread In large skillet melt the Olivio then add potato…

I love to use chili peppers and Jalopeno peppers in my cooking. I have heard that they can help boost metabolism. Does anyone know if this is actually true?

Of course the trick is getting the venison to begin with. I hunt in New Hampshire and usually I am fortunate enough to harvest at least one deer a year. Last year I got 3 deer so my freezer is pretty full of meat. That enables me to not have to eat any beef all winter. Deer meat is very low fat and has no hormones or…

Thats a good idea about adding the extra veggies. I have tried eating clean last year and with my schedule is really hard to find the time to prepare all the food. I'm going to try the Lean Cuisine route just to get me jump started. Once April gets here and the days get warmer and longer I will try to go back to a cleaner…

Thanks, I know what you mean about the plateu thing. Thats why I'm trying this program. Its funny because most people assume that since I run so many miles that I can eat whatever I want. I wish that was true but my waistline says differently. I'm going to try eating Lean Cuisines for lunch and dinner. That way I know…

Has anyone had much success running more than 35 miles a week and losing weight? I'm training for a marathon this May and would like to lose about 20 pounds by then. I know from experience of running 2 marathons last year that I usually do ok losing weight the first 10 weeks of my 18 week marathon training program but…
