  • Before, August 2011 After, August 2012 No where near a biggest loser, but still really happy with my results! Hope that worked this time to post pics??? Still not sure how to do it. I have lost 60, still have 10 to go to reach my goal.
  • Not sure how to post pics....Don't know if this will work, but you can look at my profile pics and see these before and after. Still have another 10 to go, but down 60 lbs so far!
  • The sweet little old perverted man at the gym who told me today "I really enjoy watching you walk away....you can stop working out....it's worked!" Def made me smile :)
  • Well....I am a stay at home mom with 4 kids, and I have to go to the gym, so I can use the child watch (childcare). If I don't go to the gym, I don't get to exercise. I need someone to watch my kids (a bike ride with 4 kids all 6 and under does not do it, LOL!!!)! I do run at night though a few nights a week after my hubby…
  • Solarpower03, from what I can see.....very nice, 10
  • I always get the corn taco tortilla (only 60 calories) with the pork carnitas, fajita veggies, and a small amount of guacamole. It is 325 calories, and VERY YUMMY! I skip the rice and beans (can't fit much into that little corn tortilla anyway) to make room for more veggies!
  • Fruit is full of antioxidents, cancer preventing and extremely good for your health. Everything in moderation and a balanced diet. Don't worry about too much sugar, unless you have an underlying medical condition, if it is from fruit. Just don't eat something crazy like 30 servings a day....:) Good luck to you!
  • I can see a difference! The hip and butt and thigh pics especially. You are doing fantastic! Just keep up whatever you are doing, it is working:)
  • This is my personal opinion. I believe that anything in moderation is ok (as long as you don't have specific health issues and your dr. says to avoid certain foods), and having a coke zero here and there most likely won't hurt you. If you read, I did not give a specific number, because I am not an expert, I just said a few…

  • I am sure a coke zero here and there won't hurt you. Enjoy your coke zero a few times a week at lunch, just don't drink it all day, every day:)

  • PS....Thought I'd throw this in there so you know where all that 25-35 lbs is going for your new baby from what to expect.com....... "What to Expect.com says that with a 30 pound pregnancy weight gain, distribution is approximately; baby: 7.5 pounds, placenta: 1.5 pounds, amniotic fluid: 2 pounds, enlarged uterus: 2…
  • Don't obsess about your weight during pregnancy. You need to gain between 18-36 lbs for a healthy baby. The average recommendation is 25 lbs. I was 157 lbs and am 5'7" (about the same size, bmi 24.6) when I got pregnant with my 2nd I gained a healthy 21 lbs, without counting calories at all. I went off my calorie counting…
  • Somewhere in between 1 and 2:)
  • My dog actually has a liver disorder which causes her seizures. She has micro-vascular dysplasia of the liver, and long word for....the blood does not filter through her liver and shunts around it, causing toxins to build up in her body and brain, causing seizures. She never had a seizure until I switched her food. I took…
  • BUMP....MMMMMMMMM!!!
  • I am 5' 7" and was a 12 at 160lb. I am now around 145 and a size 8-10
  • You actually should net 1200 calories a day. If you exercise and burn off 300 calories, you are actually supposed to eat that back. The purpose of exercise is to improve health and physique, and to increase muscle mass and decrease fat. I get 1400 a day, and workout 300-400, and always keep my net above 1200. Actually, if…
  • Thanks ladies for the advice, I will try them out! Sounds delicious and easy:) I will make it through these years, and I am sure I will miss them someday:wink:
  • It depends on if you are male or female. Here are some ranges from a website of body fat from athlete to obese. (www.healthchecksystems.com/bodyfat.htm) I used this formula and it said my body fat was 31%, but went into a health fair clinic, and they used 2 different methods (calipers) and hydrostatic weight, and it was…

  • Your net should be around 1200 minimum. If my net stays below 1200 for too long, I plateau out and find that eating more actually helps me lose! Good luck to you on your journey!
  • Great job girl!!!! You are doing fantastic!
  • Sorry, I didn't see the post about not having a gym membership. In that case walking is great. Take your time, you feel better and better over time. It is a long process though, and it's ok to get discouraged! Just hang in there, and take it one day at a time. Do you have a bike? Bike rides are great, and depending on your…
  • Not sure if this has already been said, but maybe a recumbant bike or stationary bike (great cardio, but not hard on your joints). Also anything in the pool (if you don't mind doing classes with a bunch of cute older people) is great if you have pain with joints from impact exercise. The elliptical is a fantastic cardio…
  • My mom is visiting, this is the only reason I have time to write this
  • Hey, this is inspiring. Some light at the end of the tunnel???? My kiddos are all boys, ages 4, 3, 18 months, and 6 months. I am soooooooooo overwhelmed, and up still several times a night between breastfeeding the 6 month old, and the 18 month old crawling out of his crib and wandering the halls with night terrors. My 3…
  • I get what you are saying. I am sorry people are being mean with some of their posts. I do agree with you, I do better when I eat smaller meals, several times a day, and faithfully exercise. The only excuse we have our ouselves, but on the same note......sometimes life is really hard and super chaotic. It prevents smaller…
  • Your [quote) :"It drives me crazy to hear people say they don't have time to exercise or prepare fresh foods. Seriously people? Do you know how many hours there are in a day? Trade one sedentary activity for an activity of some sort ... trade that sedentary activity in and take care of your body! Mentally AND physically…
  • It's great for a quick fix, or if you need to drop a few (mostly bloat and water weight) to look great in that bathing suit in two weeks, but not overly healthy long term and very hard to stick to! I do it to drop a few quick lbs here and there, but in my opinion a well balanced diet, with everything in moderation is the…
  • Make sure your net calories (after exercise) are at least 1200, this is the minimum amount of calories most people's bodies need to function properly. Lots of water, and make sure you are getting enough calories. I actually lose more quickly when I keep my net calories at a 1200 minimum, I tend to plateau when I let my net…
