  • To make them somewhat equal run with a 0.5 incline. I was told that at the store I bought my treadmill at. It helps to lessen the assist of the belt.
  • This. When government starts limiting one persons freedom....it won't be long before they take them all. BTW...I am an ex smoker. I personally can't stand the smell but people have the right to choose.
  • I have high arches and was fitted for stability shoes. also make sure you buy shoes at least 1/2 size larger than your typical shoe size. Loosen the laces and bit. Your feet swell during runs.
  •
  • I'm nearing the end of school for being a nurse practitioner. I learned about this diet last night in fact. You want more fruits and vegetables because of the high potassium content which will help in lowering blood pressure. The biggest part of it is to not get more than 2.5 grams or 2500 mg of sodium daily. The best way…

  • maybe the deodorant she uses is not strong enough and she needs a better one. I used to have the same problem. My deodorant was great....until I started sweating my *kitten* off. Switched to Degree and there are no issues maybe suggest a stronger one for "sports".
  • When on the treadmill you should add 0.5 to 1 incline, it mimics running outside. I tried it when running on the treadmill and it seemed to help. The increased weight will be tough on your knees most of all. Like most others posted-stretching before and after will ease some of the soreness. I also find Epsom salt baths are…

  • have her checked for hip dysplasia. mine would not run for anything. found out at 5 she has hip dysplasia that could have had effects on her since she was a pup
  • My dog is a beagle/boston terrier (22 lbs) and she goes on runs with me all the time. I asked the vet last week what the limits are and she stated there are no limits as long as the dog is conditioned. So your little guy should do C25K with you, you can both build endurance at the same time. I also hung the dog leash by…

  • I have been running on and off for about three years, nothing spectacular but still running. I find it easiest to have a set number of miles for the days run and start running away from home until I reach the halfway mark. Then the only way I'm getting home is to run it. I would suggest though that since you will just…
  • I have tried map my run which overstated mileage, runtastic which comes up short sometimes and calorie burn was high. I really like runkeeper when I run the same route the distance is always the same. It has an auto pause feature also.
  • 1st week of training complete. I usually run this much but for some reason with rules on how much to run on what days...it was way harder. 1st 3.01 2nd 4.3 3rd 3 5th 3.37 6th 4.04
  • I love starved rock IL. I have hiked that numerous times, just a couple of weeks ago was the last. The further you go the less there are people.
  • I'm in. Just started 12 week training plan for my first 1/2 marathon.
  • Can add me. I have 8000 to 20000 steps a day. I have reached the 30000 badge twice. https://www.fitbit.com/user/2GDFL8
  • Congrats on stopping smoking. You may feel like you can walk more at one time but until you know how the extra walking will effect you tomorrow I would stick with one today and if you don't an increased amount of pain you could up it tomorrow. It won't benefit you to overdo it then have to take multiple days off for…
  • I can't eat whole grain bread. Whenever I crunch down on a seed I think its a bug. Completely grosses me out.
  • I have found that buying a tight fitting HIGH impact sports bra has helped. I stress high impact because the majority of what you find is medium or low impact. Nike makes a great one. I found it at ****'s sporting goods store.

  • I have one. I am a fairly competitive person and the fitbit actually helps me compete with myself. It has motivated me to walk a lot more and to take the stairs. I bought my husband one and now his goal i to always have more steps than me at the end of the night. As far as how do I use it: I keep it on all the time. MFP is…
  • Wow, you look great. Keep up the hard work.
  • Its likely that the calories for 10 at 4 mph is very wrong unless you are very overweight, even then this would be hard to believe. Have you compared it to other sites?
  • With all of your stress I would suggest trying counseling. A counselor will give you healthier coping mechanisms. Most of all stop beating yourself up for choices. Each time you slip, pick yourself up and try again.
  • I have worked in healthcare for over ten years. I have never seen a femur of a normal weight or evely a little overweight break. I have cared for patients where the weight of their own body broke their femur. Yes that person has an uphill struggle to regain some form of life. These patients suffer from multiple…
  • I think slowing down your pace will help. If you are running at a high speed and your HR gets to the upper limits your body cannot utilize the oxygen in your system and you can't breathe effectively. I run at various times of the day depending on what life has to offer. Outside I go ten miles at about a 12 min mile and on…
  • I am also in the middle of week three. Have you lost anything?
