I started in a 24 pant and 3xl tops a year ago 2/1/12 and currently wear 8/10 pants (depends on the brand/cut) and S or Med tops. Started at 270 and currently at 142.6, 5'4" height. Wanna get to 130 for my personal weight goal. Good luck everyone!

As others have already said do lots of research. My program does all three, band, sleeve and RNY. They don't do much bands anymore and do alot more sleeves since insurance co's pay for it more and of course the RNY. I had sleeve done on 6/11/12. I started out at 270 and lost 47 pre op from 2/1/12 to surgery date 6/11/12…

As they used to say on SNL during the Gap skits "belt and cinch it!" LOL Great NSV. Hit up the Goodwill and Salvation Army stores is what I do. Most of my small clothes now are from Salvation Army at 49 cents a pc. They have a sale every Sat on certain tag colors and they are only 49 cents. The outfit today I am wearing…

Most everyone I know through my local WLS support group who had sleeve surgery said they would do it agin and have no regrets. Even a couple people who had leaks and complications don't regret their decision one bit. Yes it is a serious operation and you should be aware of the all the risks and complications. Three weeks…

Yoga pants or capri workout pants and a tshirt. Usually tshirts are 100% cotton so they breath. A good bra or sports bra also. Good tennis shoes are a must also. Wear something comfy but not too baggy. Good luck!

Depends on how old you are, how long you have been obese, how much weight you loose.... and so on. I have been obese all my life and at age 48 had the sleeve surgery. I have loose skin. I am working out and with weights but there is only so much that will do. Many times the only solution is to have surgery to remove it.

Talk to your surgeon about it. I had a hital hernia repaired also with my Sleeve surgery and had the same issue. I went back on generic Priolsec and they also gave me anti nausea med that helped alot. I had acid reflux issues before surgery too. Now almost 8 months out no acid reflux and no meds taken for it either. When…

People who don't wipe off the machines after they have used them. So icky! Kids that just play around on the equipment and not really use it.

I would start out with something less intense like walking. There are walk at home dvds that Leslie Sansone makes and you can view them on youtube or just get outside and walk! Once you get used to that you can ramp it up more. I recently joined a gym and had never been on anything except a treadmill and exercise bike at…

I will be 8 months post op from sleeve surgery on 2/11/13. I was eating 1000 cals but a couple weeks ago I up'd it to 1200 cals due to doing alot more exercising. I don't eat back my calories burned doing exercise though. I try to get 100 grams of protein in a day also and drink 80 oz of water daily. I have about 12 pounds…

Congrats! You have worked hard for this! So proud of you!

I would keep them. This will give you a goal to reach. Buying new ones when you reach your goal too is fun also.
-
Good luck. I had to do the liquid diet for 2 weeks before my sleeve surgery. It really wasn't that bad and it does prepare you for life right after surgery!

Congrats to you! Yippee!!!

I joined my new Planet Fitness a couple weeks ago and love it. The circuit training is in a seperate area and can be done at any time. The Trainer has different times of the day they will go over stuff with you as a group or as individual appt. and it is free. I met with the trainer at my gym the Monday after I joined and…

A year ago I wore size 24 pants and 3XL top. Today I wear size 8 and Med or Small tops.

Nothing will prevent it. I started taking Biotin 3 months pre op and still take it at 7 1/2 months post op from sleeve surgery. I starting loosing hair around 3 months and it stopped at about 6 months post op. I did get my colored still and it didn't make it come out more due to this, I do go to a hairdresser to have it…

I did Leslie Sansone walk at home dvd's and other exercise dvds before I joined a gym a couple weeks ago. I also bought some dumbells and stretching bands to work with too. Planet Fitness has a $10 a month membership with no yearly contract. Cheapest place to join that I know of. I joined in Dec 2012 and the new gym in my…

I only buy the ones with Whey Protein Isolate as the first ingrediant. Nectar brand has a ton of flavors and they sell little packets too. Unjury and Jay Robb are good too. Check out your local Vitamin Shoppe they sells little packets of Jay Rob and Nectar. Unjury you have to buy from Unjury. I like Nectar Chocolate…

Chobani 0% Raspberry, Strawberry or Peach are all yummy. Pineapple 2% is good too.

Quest bars are good but for a long time I could only eat 1/2 a one cause they are dense. Think Thin bars are good too. My fav right now is Power Crunch! I love them. I have one everyday M-F for my afternoon snack. I buy them by the box full at Vitamin Shoppe when they are on sale for $15.99 and then have a 20% coupon also.…

I have some unflavored protein mixes but haven't ever used them. Be careful if you mix them with hot beverages as they will clump if very hot. Unjury, Jay Robb, Nectar and many others sell unflavored protein. I usually get in 100 grams of protein a day with one protein shake for breakfast and then regular foods at this…

I went back on the Depo shot this fall. I had to stop it before sleeve surgery due to my WLS saying I had to hormone free 3 month before surgery. I asked my GYN if getting the shot makes a person gain weight without the person actually overeating or eating the wrong things. She said the shot doesn't make you gain weight…

Not for sure if I am gonna make my goal of 135 by 2/14/13. That's 9 pounds in about…

I just bought a fitbit one a couple weeks ago and love it! It really does inspire you to move more daily. I now park my car out to the farthest parking spot at work to get more steps and do that at other parking lots. It doesn't register exercise bike or ellipitcal machine when working out so those I manual input into MFP…

I just walked into a gym for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I made an apt with the free trainer to see what would be best for me for my goals. Until I had the apt with him I did 25 minutes on the treadmill walking with an incline, 25 minutes on the upright exercise bike and then did 15 min on the ellipitcal machine. I…

I lost 47 pounds between 2/1/12 and 6/11/12 by following 1200 cals and walking 1-2 miles a day. 2 weeks of that was the pre op liquid diet. I also drank 80 oz of water a day, no carbonated beverages and switched from reg coffee/tea to decaf coffee/tea. Saving a $1000 would motivate me for sure! Good luck!

I lost 47 pounds from 2/1/12 till end of May 2012. I was 223 then. I had weight loss sleeve surgery on 6/11/12 and now weigh 144 and have lost 79 pounds post op for a total lost of 126 in about a year. I know some say having WLS is taking the easy way out but unless they have gone through it they have no idea. I had to…
