As others have mentioned, you really need to speak to a nutritionist that specializes in Weight Loss Surgery. I was looking a food diary and it looks like you aren't getting enough grams of protein on a daily basis. I try to shoot for at least 80 grams of protein a day and at least 80 oz or more of water that can be decaf…

Loose skin after a big weight loss is gonna happen if you loose it dieting or with WLS. I was 270 and lost 146 pounds. Yes I have upper arm bat wings, pouchy tummy, droopy wrinkled butt, upper thighs saggy. I've worked out lifted weights and done alot of different exercising but nothing is gonna shrink that loose skin back…

I had WLS sleeve surgery 2 years ago and met my personal weight goal in April 2013 and been in maintenance ever since. I do go up and down on scales as much as 10 pounds. My lowest was 124, highest was 140 but back down to 130 this last month due to packing and moving. I like to be around 135. I log all foods good, bad and…

I usually eat one a day too! Love them!!

Oops! I've been bad about logging it in here but it is on my exercise diary here on MFP and friends can view it and my food diary what I am doing. I need to start the new moves though for week 3! Sorry!

I forgot to mention I don't eat back my exercise calories normally either so for me it is more of a record tracking thing with exercise cals burned and not a factor with what I can or can't eat. Sometimes I will go over my alloted cals I give myself but that is rare as I am usually under them and again don't eat back cals…

Thanks so much for both responses. I guess I will continue to push my heartrate up to max I can stand then when doing cardio. I just want to get the maximum bang out of my workouts! Good luck to all!

I usually get it up to 170 or higher but had read that isn't really helping me any is why I asked. I try to burn as many cals as I can at the gym in the shortest amount of time too! LOL! I can only do the cardio machines 20-30 minutes and then get bored! I try to mix it up with cardio, weights, more cardio and then aqua…

If you want something waterproof or you can wear for water workouts or swimming, the Polar FT7 is waterproof. You just have to not hit any buttons on it while it is under water though. I have had one since Sept 2013 and use it in the pool all the time with no issues. Works great on land and in water. It does have a chest…

Congrats on going to the gym! I had never stepped foot into a gym till January 2013. I was nervous at first but just did my workouts and didn't care about others and what they thought. Most people are just doing their workouts and aren't watching others. I was at Planet Fitness from Jan 2013 till June 2013 then joined Fit…

It depends on the walking pace and weight of the person really. I burned more cals when I weighed 270 pounds than I do now when doing any type of exercise. I have a Polar FT7 I use for workouts and really MFP isn't off much from some of the cals it says I should burn vs what my Polar FT7 says, in fact MFP is actually lower…

I have a Polar FT7 and LOVE it! Make sure what ever HRM you get has a chest strap. I bought one without one for $20 a TJ Maxx and it did ok for the time being but I wanted a more accurate read of HR and cals burned, fitness burn, fat burn and stuff like that. The chest strap doesn't bother me at all. The Polar FT7 can be…

While I was loosing my weight, I didn't hardly buy anything new cause it was too big in like 2 weeks! I went to my local Salvation Army store on Saturdays and they have a certain tag color that was 49 cents a pc. It is now 69 cents but still a bargain. I had never ever shopped at a Salvation Army or Goodwill store before…

Per my Polar Heart Rate Monitor FT7 with chest strap I usually burn 100 cals per 10 minutes on the ellpitical machine at the gym and the read out on the machine is the same too. I start out at level 6 and go up to 8 off an on with the progam I use. I probably need to up the intensity of it more now. It really depends on…

For first 2-3 months after my Sleeve WLS I was only getting 300 cals in a day but focused on protein only. I finally was able to get 500 cals in and then worked up to 750 by 8 months and was told to be at 1000 cals by 6 months due to workouts I was doing. For the first year after sleeve surgery, nothing tasted good and I…

I tend to listen to anything by the Foo Fighters! The slow songs I skip over on my iPod but I all their cds on there and they get me going. Oh...it has to be played LOUD too!!!!

I have a Polar FT7 Heart rate monitor on when I do all my workouts so it is all logged on it. For me, 25 minutes of strength training is usually about 100 cals burned. I usually do 20 min of cardio, strength training, then 10 more minutes of cardio and then usually an aqua class in the pool for 45 min to an hour. The heart…

My WLS nut says there are no bad foods! You must eat in moderation is all. We all got obese by thinking these are bad foods and trying to withhold them and then ended up eating them but way too much of them. A bit here or there isn't going to hurt you if you stop at 1-2 bites. Log it all, the good, the bad and the ugly! I…

I have three West Highland White Terriers age 16 1/2, 8 and 1 year. I don't run or bike with them but I do dog agility training with the 8 year old and 1 year old. The 16 1/2 year old used to also but retired at age 11 or so. It is alot of fun for both the dogs and the owners. I wish I could bike with my westies but they…

After 2 weeks post op from sleeve I started soft proteins but by 2 months out I was on reg food. Very small amounts and very small bites. Everyone is different though. As long as your WLS surgeon or program is aware of your issues. good luck!

3/21/14-25 squats, 25 lunges I hit the gym M, W and Thurs this week but do the squats and lunges in the morning before work at home! Have a great weekend everyone!

I put a tablespoon of PB2 in my Nectar Chocolate Truffle shake mix w skim milk every morning. I have used it to bake with one time also when I didn't have reg peanut butter in my cabinet. I used to have to order it online or get it from a nutrional store in town but Walmart now sells in the Peanut butter section. I just…

Any exercise is better than none is my thinking. If you can only do 20-30 of just walking that works. I wouldn't go under 1200 cals a day either. Before I had my sleeve WLS I lost 47 pounds from Feb to May by eating 1200 cals a day and walking 30 minutes a day as my only exercise. I hope you get to feeling better. When I…

I bought a Schwinn 7 speed bike at Meijer last year in May 2013. I liked it and it was like $180 but on sale for $140 and then I got some other discounts for using my Meijer credit card and another discount so it brought it down to under $100. I didn't want to spend a ton of money in case I didn't continuing riding the…

I track everything on here. Food water vitamins exercise and so on. I don't usually eat back my exercised burned cals either. I have it set for me to eat 1490 cals a day, sometimes I don't eat that much though in cals. Somedays I do, just depends. I track everything I eat and am very honest about it too. Good and bad…
