Lift and lift heavy :)

I started January 2nd 2013 lost five pounds but a heap more in inches. Im doing a programme three times a week of very heavy lifting 5x5, 5x4 and 5x5x3x8. The scale has really been pushed to the side while Im lifting it does no favours for me mentally. The tape measure is slowly becoming my friend

Im not doing the stronglifts programme but Im lifting 5x5. Im alot stronger and have lost inches. You should definitely try Stronglifts.

The FT7 is excellent. You can swm in it too. Ive heard here that the battery is easier to replace yourself rather than the FT4.... The FT7 is an excellent tool. I use it whenever Im exercising including playing sports.

I workout early morning before work. I dont eat beforehand. Post workout I will have a protein shake or an egg on wholemeal toast with a coffee

I rest 60 seconds per set and 90 seconds Never longer than that. when Im moving onto another exercise. I leave my HRM going the whole time (I know its not an accurate count) I also eat an extra 500 calories on lifting days.

I have various workouts for the bike but I left my book at home. Its like doing HIIT training I up the level every minute for six minutes then drop a few levels for one minute then hike up each level every minute. I do this for 20 minutes or 30 minutes. Doing it this way for me doesnt make me feel bored and the time goes…

Its very hard to monitor your calories while lifting. Even the HRM is inaccurate.

Four days! Imagine how you will be feeling after four weeks :)

I started January the 2nd and have lost 5lbs. Some days Im ok with that and others its a struggle. Im a lifter, and I lift heavy so I can't expect to see dramatic changes in weight loss. I have lost inches though so I must be doing something right. Looking at doing this for a year hopefully with some great results at the…

Im squatting 50 kilos (not including the weight of the bar) Im actually beginning to squat lower and feeling more comfortable with that than when I did squatting full stop with higher reps. I feel I have bettr control when the weight is heavier on the barbell :)
