I'll drink more water or try coffee if that doesnt work I'll have a snack like an apple or small tin of tuna. I also log what I really want to eat like chocolate or junk most times the calorie count scares me off and I reach for the healthier options.

I have one rest day a week usually Sunday.
-
For body weight I prefer the analog scales but I dont weigh must these days, I take photos and measurements.

I was doing crunches off a swissball and I fell of it. Flat and hard on my bottom. The ball went flying out from underneath me at a speed almost faster than sound. The ball continued to roll into the weights area lol a nice man rolled it back to me lol sooooo embarrassed.

He was asked to leave cause he was half naked and refused to clothe himself. He was lifting very very light on 2.5kg plates on a bench press (barbie weights)
-
I very large man came into the gym with no top on. Started grunting while bench pressing using barbie weights....He was escorted off the premises

Odd. It could be related to change in diet but its strange with the fever. I would consult a doctor.

I was on five months without weight loss but I took measurements and photos and could see a huge difference. This month I increased the amount of cal intake to 2149 per day and not eating back exercise calories. The scale is now on the move downwards/
-
Hoping that was enough to put anyone off lol
-
I use my HRM even though I know its not very accurate when it comes to lifting but it gives me a base to work from.

Forgot to mention constipation as well :/

My mum tried them years ago and ended up in hospital having to have an operation on her bowel. I tried them three years ago and lost alot of weight rapidly but it came at a cost - extreme mood swings, insomnia, high blood pressure and a racing heart rate. Not pleasant. Decided to increase my activity level and eat smaller…
-
I increased from 1500 to 2149 and im now losing weight but I guess it all depends on weight, height, amount of burn per week etc. Everyone is different
-
Me - Lost a fair few inches since January the 2nd and then I bumped up my calorie intake to 2149 and scale is now moving downwards.
-
I keep exercising and if Im at work I try and move around every 30 minutes. Usually the first 48 hours are the worse (second day is the worse of all) and from then on I loosen up
-
I use both. Sometimes I might go week on week off and alternate. To pass boredom cause lets face it it can get like that sometimes I do HIIT training on both, keeps me challenged and I find the time goes quicker

Learn the basics first before you begin to lift heavy. There are lots of books out there that can assist. I started three years ago reading Body for Life and just did the weights side of things. This set me up for life. Amazing book, not complicated and has pictures on how to do each exercise.
-
Im 5ft 2 and workout 5-6 days a week and set mine to 2149 1 May. The scales are moving downwards.
-
tbh I think you should learn the basics first off. I started on the Body For Life weightlifting side of things couple of years back which has done me wonders today in terms of lifting knowledge. Work your way up to muscle failure, doing it too soon could cause injury. Get your techniques right and go from there.

Just read this thread and I gotta say its one of the best ones I have read. Awesome support of one another and fantastic advice.

-
Brush your teeth and get into the habit of going to bed earlier.
-
I have to eat breakfast now because I workout in the morning and Im starving afterwards. I changed what I was eating and I seem to be able to go to lunchtime without snacking.
-
