  • Congrats on taking the first step and joining the gym! I know it can be intimidating, and feel like people are watching you, but honestly, people are so focused on what they are doing that they are not watching other people! If you're worried that you are using improper form or look "weird" try booking a session with a…
  • you look fantastic!! You can really tell in your arms and around your ribs! I have a similar body shape, so this is awesome motivation for me! Keep up the great work!
  • I would try a different pair of shoes, go into a store and get fitted properly. If your shoes are too tight or aren't giving you the right support it can cause alot of discomfort issues. I would try different stretches that target the calf muscles, try sitting down toes pointed inwards and reach as close to your toes as…
  • This is ridiculous. Are you going to stay on 1200 calories after you lose the 10lbs? Probably not. Such strict intakes are just a set-up for failure. You can lose the 10lbs and still eat more than 1200 calories. Have you figured out your TDEE/BMR? It sounds like your goal is very unrealistic. These calculations will give…
  • THIS. no one can motivate you into doing this. Once you decide that you want to do it, you will. Simple.
  • I am the WORST for water intake. The majority of water I consume is in my tea (which some would argue doesn't count) or when I am working out. I rarely even track my water. The only time I find it really hinders my weight is if I have a high sodium day, in which case I make a point of getting more water in to balance it…
  • OMG yes! and their older stuff, anything off waking the fallen!
  • anything 5fdp, specifically dying breed. all that remains, trivium, etc.
  • Why would you want to? Embrace them! I love the tone in my legs and get compliments on them all the time, throw on a skirt and some heels and flaunt them!
  • This is my last post in response to you, clearly you are a low calorie pusher which is fine, but you seem to be the only one on this thread that thinks this girl is going to be okay on this 1000 calories. I do not have to justify myself to a stranger on this site, especially one with your attitude. I actually am quite…
  • FIRST off, I have been an athlete all my life, I know first hand that if this person is doing what she is describing she is not eating enough to compensate for her workouts. If your body is burning close to 1000 calories a day with the work outs, what is left over ?! SECOND, I have a friend that ended up in the hospital…
  • When she crashes, or ends up in th hospital she might get off of it. Low calorie diets are such BS unless you plan on eating that way for the rest of your life. I'll take my 1700-2000 calories per day, and my consistent loss over that any day lol.
  • ... it burns calories. try a different search or figure out your calorie burn using your information (there's sites for this). or invest in an HRM. I wouldn't stick to what MFP or the machines say, they tend to overestimate calorie burns.
  • Educate her? I was in a similar situation and got tired of "talking to the wall". Sometimes people need to fail in order to learn. Rough, I know but you can only help someone if they're willing to take it. She may need to figure it out on her own, or she may see that you are doing well and eating more and become interested…
  • Also, they make some of those boots that have the slouch effect, I find those ones have a little bit more give in them... and also they don't need to be skin tight like the other kinds! Every brand is different though, so just keep looking!
  • I know EXACTLY what you mean! I've always had a muscular build and have had this problem every single season ... until this past. Keep working on it, you will find that you lose inches in the weirdest places, your calves being one of them! Keep at it!!
  • the 2300 and something is your maitenence, the 1700 and something is your allowed daily intake, at the deficit. If you workout, those are extra calories you can either eat back or just leave them.
  • i always weigh my food after it is cooked. Not sure if it makes a difference, food changes after it is cooked so I would assume weighing it after it's prepared would be the most accurate. Curious to see other responses though.
  • Nope. I put on my profile to include a message if you wanted to be friends. I always send a message when requesting. It just seems odd to do it out of the blue.
  • I guess I should have been more clear in my OP, When I did my numbers when I first started here, I over estimated how active I was... big fail. So I just adjusted things to low-moderate activity levels, in the event that I missed a day, or whatever. It's been working for me so far. You do seem overly active though, with…
  • The workouts will be taken off her intake if she does them that day. If she sets her TDEE for high activity and misses say 2-3 workouts a week, that sets her up to be over her calories by "x" amount that day. Personal choice I guess. But your TDEE should be the least amount of activity you do, like if you were to stay in…
  • The general consensus I have read about 30DS is that it is hard on your knees. So I had to try it myself (with a friend as well) I have a previous knee injury (years of figure skating and a car accident) and she has "good knees". Anyways, both of us were in pain afterwards, and neither of us are terribly out of shape.…
  • I would put light or moderate.. it's your lifestyle without the workouts.
  • fit-fatradio.com ... it has everything
  • When I first got my puppy (2 years ago) We started him on the same food, Puppy Chow. When we switched him to the adult dog food by purina, it all went down hill. The dog chow that they make (green bag?) was the worst. He kept getting sick, and his coat looked horrible. Eventually we took him to the vet and found out he had…
  • I find that sodium makes me retain water, if I have a big meal high in sodium, I find I am up 1-4lbs the next morning. Sodium isn't a bad thing if you keep your water intake high. The whole dehydration thing is true as well, the body will hold on to the excess water if your sodium intake is higher. Lots of fluids will…
  • bump, going to read after work! .. interested to see some responses
  • love love love thrift stores! I am on a creative spree, and love looking for vintage furniture that I can refinish! ... pinterest will be the death of me!! haha
  • When XL and XXL tops were too tight, ALWAYS the fat friend, clothes getting tigher and tighter. I think the honest breaking point was not fiting into my winter coat, and seeing pictures from a new years party where my face looked so swollen. Now that I have a jawline again, I am loving it!! LOL.
