@3greyhorses, nice post. Wishing you well!!

For me, I find the best weight loss is about a quarter of a pound a week. I adjust to the diet as a life change and my body adjusts to the new weight avoiding the "bounce back" effect. However, to lose quickly, I like intermittent fasting and either intermittent or full keto. All sorts of good studies right now showing the…

I always forget to check this page! I am so glad that you brought it back to life Suzie! I live in Pennsylvania. I grew up riding bareback, but have ridden western and hunters. I just started dressage in the past two years with a new horse. I (and my horse) quickly soured on traditional and even classical dressage…

I am currently in SE Pennsylvania -- mild winters, beautiful falls and springs, very humid summers. It is unbelievably horsey here. I belong to three dressage clubs, there is a schooling show every week (except Dec/Jan/Feb), rated shows within driving distance at least every other week, horse professionals and…

Hi all! I started riding 50 (yikes!) years ago. I worked for over ten years as barn help, rider, instructor and trainer, mainly hunters. Then I took 25 years off to have kids. I have been back riding for just over ten years now, backyard trail riding. Then last winter my dream horse fell in my lap and I started showing low…

Goal:10 lbs/20 weeks To Go: 1.2 lbs/1 week No loss. I hope it is just weekend water weight. It will be hard for me to lose 1.2 in one week otherwise.

@BuffyBourbon "I'm going with athletic" hahahaha! Hmmmm, so riding puts on weight/ Maybe we hold water to somehow help repair the damaged muscle tissue when we get sore?
-
Yay is right, @BuffyBourbon!! Spring rides are fun, lol.
-
Goal:10 lbs/20 weeks To Go: 4 lbs/7 weeks I became overconfident early in the week when I was down a pound by last Wednesday. I over ate and now have no loss. Better this coming week.

I do not have any really good suggestions. I have a pair of older boot cut Kerrits tights that I like a lot. They are thin, but firmly stretchy (think support hose) and hide a world of sin. I also like the Irideon tights, but they do not hide much. Super soft and comfortable. For actual breeches, the only ones that I have…

@BuffyBourbon You should be pleased. You are doing absolutely awesome!!!!!!

Goal:10 lbs/20 weeks To Go: 4 lbs/8 weeks Yay, back on schedule. I had hoped to be a bit ahead as it is going to get more difficult as I get closer to my goal. Still, I am happy with any loss.

Congratulations, @BuffyBourbon! That is wonderful. You are going to have a wonderful riding season this year!

Goal:10 lbs/20 weeks To Go: 4.8 lbs/10 weeks Oh my gosh -- I went from weeks behind to right on target. This eating less calories than you expend stuff actually works, hahaha.
-
@BuffyBourbon you are doing great! You passed the half-way point -- congratulations. It must feel great to up the calorie intake a bit.

Goal:10 lbs/20 weeks To Go: 8.6 lbs/12 weeks I just noticed on my profile that I missed an 0.2 pound loss somewhere along the way. I am actually down a whole 1.4 lb, lol.

Goal:10 lbs/20 weeks To Go: 8.8 lbs/12 weeks These weeks are slipping by and I am not seeing the losses I was hoping for. I was perfect M,Tu,W,Th last week and was down a full pound by Thursday. Then my son came home Friday night for the weekend -- we ate out and I was not good. So, I guess I should just be glad that there…

Me either, @ChocFiend, but I now feel the pressure of the deadline and have been much better this week. I am hoping the deadline continues to motivate me.

Goal:10 lbs/20 weeks To Go: 9 lbs/13 weeks Good luck @jingoace . You can do it!

Welcome, @gbeager !! This is a great group -- they cheer you on when you need it, give advice if you ask and leave you alone if you don't ask. I started a weekly countdown to a personal goal post a few weeks ago -- I think I am the only one doing it that has not lost a pound yet, lol. Be sure to go to the COTH Fitness…

Goal:10 lbs/20 weeks To Go: 10 lbs/15 weeks In the spirit of not doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, I am going to change my habits this week. Instead of logging in AFTER my meals, I am going to PRE-LOG in all of my meals every morning and then adhere to it. That will be easy during the…
