  • I'm in. 30 minutes of some kind of activity each day (I like to vary) I'll stay under 1400 each day. I'm personally trying to cut back on soda and sugary foods. I want to lose 5-7 pounds (all I think I'll manage in 30 days at 146 with a goal of 130) I'm going to drink at least two nalgenes (giant water bottles) a day I…
  • I'm not really a vegan, but I'm allergic to dairy and eggs so I'm almost there. I'd love to hear about more products like fake yogurt and cheese since I miss them dearly. I can tell you how I cook vegetables and "vegan" stuff... I still like the occasional sirloin though.
  • Feel free to add me! I have about 15 pounds to lose and would love to offer/receive support.
  • I've recently discovered that I have an allergy to dairy and eggs. Since I've cut them both out of my diet, I find that I've lost some weight and I don't bloat at all. Cutting out the meat too would cut out the fat in your diet. Who's seen an overweight vegan? There's a good book called Veganist by Kathy Freston that can…
  • Hi! I'm 19. I am 5 feet and 7 inches tall. I weigh somewhere around 150, I think. I'm at 1400 calories every day because I used the lightly active setting. I am a student so I walk to about four classes every day across a huge campus. That usually averages around 45 minutes of walking a day. I try to exercise at least…
  • Feel free to add me!
  • Feel free to add me too! I'm not sure I'm neccesarily a feminist, but I hate the ways guys think they're better than we are.
  • Take a 10 pound weight in each hand lean forward about 20 degrees. Your arms should be parallel with your body, but your elbows bent, so your radius is crossing your midsection. Straighten your arms so your forarm is in the same plane as the rest of your arm. Do not move your upper arm.
  • Thanks for all the help. Because I am not eating back any of those calories worked off, I guess I'm not eating enough to keep my body fueled. I had no idea that 1.5 pounds a week was too aggressive. I thought like 5 pounds away from the goal weight was really close. I am going to up my calorie intake and aim to lose about…
  • I also mix neufant (sp?) cheese, light cream cheese, or light ricotta cheese with the light whipped cream to make it thick like ice-cream. You can also spread that mixture on cake instead of sugary icing.
  • I am a huge fan of the wii zumba 2. It's awesome and I burn a ton of calories doing it. Two weeks and I'm three pounds lighter. Of course I've been eating 1270 calories a day as well. It's an easy way to get into shape and beats running!
  • When I'm stresssed and feel like eating because of it, I fill a huge bottle with water and put Crystalight or something similar in it. Drinking like half a liter of water fills your stomach and having something tastey that doesn't add to your waist doesn't stress you out more. Also, when you're trying to grab something…
  • I know exactly how sitting in front of a computer makes you tired. I think it has to do with eyestrain and brain power. After I write a paper, I'm absolutely done. A long ride home WOULD be discouraging! You could try changing seats between stops just to get moving. I tend to do that when I'm on buses or metros.
  • Hi! I am also 5'7'' and 150! I'd love someone to lose weight with! I am still a senior in HS but I'm goin to college next year and really want to start over with a clean slate. Also, I'd like to maintain a new (and lower) weight without gaining the freshman ten! Like you, it's about how I look. I basically want to slim up…
  • Water is important because it keeps you hydrated. If you're thirsty, then you're all ready dehydrated. Sometimes when you think you're hungry you're actually thirsty, so drinking a lot of water curbs that 'emptiness' appetite. Also, some foods, like grains and some fruits, absorb water and expand. When you eat something…
