I've had luck with a 1 teaspoon or 2 of apple cider vinegar in 8 oz of water right before meals. It doesn't taste that great, but it works. You can mix a little honey in it too.

I take whatever kind of dressing I like, but use only half mixed with cider or wine vinegar. The dressings I like are the creamy type but too thick for my taste so the thinning with vinegar make it easier to coat the lettuce and I use less that way. Sounds like me! I will walk an extra mile or so to earn a little more grub. I log everything I eat, my wife thinks I'm nuts, but it sure does give you a true picture of exactly how much you are eating when you track everything.

I make a batch of it every week, but also add mixed vegetable to it. I use beef broth instead of the onion soup mix as I find the onion soup mix adds to much sodium.
