  • thanks. I took the stupid boot thing off today. I wore it since Friday... lol.. I went for a little walk tonight at work. I have been trying to keep the meals in check, knowing that I wont be burning it off. We will see how the exercise bike goes tomorrow morning,,,
  • heard of it.. never been

  • thank you all for the suggestions. I am not a memebr of a gym, so I will just try to do upper body stuff at home. And I will try to take it easy on the foot. I know C25K will be waiting for me as long as I need...lol
  • perhaps a doctor visit is in order? I have seen the videos made by people who have done the program.. And they all say what you said. Even if you pause, or go slow, as long as you do it.. "Bring It" right? ;)
  • OK... Interesting. from 6pm-7pm. Standing at my workstation. Music playing. HRM says 368.9 calories burned. from 7pm-8pm... Sitting at my workstation. Music playing. HRM says 220.3 calories burned.
  • Oh.. I dont log standing.... This is merely curiosity to see if any difference will show up at all
  • True... But this way I will at least know how many calories I burn while sitting on my butt for an hour.... LOL
  • I am conducting an experiment tonight... I will wear my HRM for one hour while standing at my desk. Then I will wearit for one hour while sitting at my desk, and see if there is any difference between to two results.
  • yea, I will take before and after pics, but I don't plan on letting a soul see the before...LOL I have sorta looked through some of the videos, fast forwarding here and there. It does look tough, but I guess that's the idea. And, as the pounds come off it will get easier, right? :) I love the sore you feel the next day,…
  • I have never tried the program before... I sort of looked over the "pre-test" and decided I need to give myself a month to get ready. I am working on pullups now.. I am also doing the C25K program, and should be done with that in time to start the P90X. I would probably do the lean program, as I want to shed the extra…
  • http://www.crankyfitness.com/2011/07/standing-versus-sitting-burns-how-many.html I stand at my desk about half the time when I am at work... I've also found that a little music kind of make you move a little too while standing there.. :)
  • I plan (plan being the operative word) to start on Monday, July 2nd..
  • I use the Pedometer GPS+ as well.
  • I have noticed with my HRM, that I seem to average about 10 cals per minute. So a nice 20 minute quick walk, is about 200 calories. Some things are more, some are less, but usually pretty close to the 10 calories a minute.

  • the HRM I use is the Gotality. It plugs into my iPhone and has a clip that clips to my earlobe.. Very similar to the one they use in a hospital that they put on your finger. When I ride my stationary bike, the HRM always reads lower than the bike or MFP. But when I walk or jog, it always reads higher... I am 5'11 225lbs
  • Don't go below 1200. The caloric deficit MFP gives you does not take into account the exercise, when you log the exercise MFP will give you more CAL's to offset those that you burned. Be sure to not go under 1200 though
  • You are doing it the right way. You are not on a diet, you made a lifestyle change. She is taking pills, and "walking a little". Once she runs out of pills, she will gian that weight back, and probably a little more than she had when she started. You are doing it the healthy way, through exercise and proper eating habits.…

  • OH..... STRETCH! Before and after.. I didnt at first and I paid the price.
  • week 4, day 3 was tonight. It felt like " walk 5 seconds, run an hour" LOL actually, once I got halfway thru i was able to hold a steady pace... and I love the feeling when you get done.. SO SO nice..
  • I don't have a garage gym.. I have a "dining room" gym. I took the table and chairs out, as that room was used as a catch-all for mail and crap.. I put my stationary bike and my bowflex in there. And in the doorway to the kitchen, I have my "Gold's Gym" pullup bar. This way I can better utilize the space. I can still watch…
  • I did Week 4, Day 1 yesterday.. I like it. Although, I did do week 3 twice. I really enjoy the prgram. I use the Zen Labs app for the iphone as well.
  • Definitely Congratulations!!!
  • I work nights.... So I am always up past 3am. IF I have anything to log past midnight, I add to the the previous day. I work it so my "day" ends when I go to bed. Not at midnight. So if I go to work monday night, I come home Tuesday morning... If I have a snack on my way home, it counts on MONDAY'S diary.
  • Cool. Thanks. I didnt even try to do any other exercises today. Wednesday is the next day for any type of lifting... I will go easy and see what I can do. Hopefully the press is pain free.
  • My "happy weight" is 13 pounds less than my goal weight
