  • I just found your thread today, I have been increasing my run time for the last few months. the last 3 weeks I went from a 20-30 min. run, to an increase to finally hitting the 6,2 miles. I walked for 3 intervals that totaled 8 min. and finished in 75mins. I was right were you all were not long ago, I just wanted you all…
  • there could be lots of reasons, But first and formost, you need to want to just get "Healthy" #1 watch your salt, carbs, and fat. also up the protein and fiber. #2 you probably need more cardio. try a minimum of 45min's at least 3-5 days a week. and then add more as your body adjusts to it. #3 age can play a large role in…
  • No problem,.. but do remember to stay within your alotted MFP calories on your day off.... Just like BrendaLee said. cal's in VS. cal's out. that's the ticket.
  • you most definately should take a day off, your muscles needs time to repair after a workout," for that is what exercise does to muscles, tears them down" It is best to take at least every third day off, or work out a different muscle group. if you workout running one day, then do upper body the next, and so on.. mix it up…
  • for me it is a constant battle. I wish I had the secret to it, but alas. no. my motivation goes up and down throughout the month, so when it is down I try to push myself through it, and when it is up , I try to take advantage of it. But my montra is, Keep pushing forward, going back is not an option. good luck
  • then good luck to you, and keep yourself safe. Don't let anyone derail your plans with promises of help and love, especially those that don't have it to offer. good luck toyou and your kids
  • sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I know your just letting off steam here. we are all just concerned about you. we all would like to impart our yrs of wisdom and stupid mistakes on you so maybe you can avoid making the same ones. that is the only thing that the ppl here are trying to do for you. again sorry, never ment…
  • and the guys are right... you can't lump all men together. there are some great ones out there. if you find one hold tight to him, if your unhappy, let him go and keep looking. I was 35 when I found the best man in the world, and all the rest were losers in comparison. So don't give up on life when yor only 23yrs old. you…
  • sound like your making excuses for a bad, teenage , crush. you can't afford to let your kids get hurt.
  • just remember... when dealing with EX's... you left them for a good reason... usually they haven't changed and you won't find that out until it is too late. and also... If he is willing to see you, and wants to "start your relationship again" while he is still, currently, married.... well, that says it all!!!!! He is SCUM.…
  • I don't have any advice, but I can sympathize. it seems I am more hungry on the days that I don't work out. I wish I had the answer for this too. today was one of those days for me too. I hope you get some answers.
  • congratulations...!!!!your such an inspiration to everyone . I'm so happy for you and wish you all the best. :flowerforyou:
  • :flowerforyou: congratulations.... he looks so precious and sweet. best of luck to you.
  • If your worried I would just start out at 1 pound a week. Try not to let things freak you out too much, there is no real set number that you will "go into starvation mode" if your under hundreds of cals a day for a weeks and months, then you might be more lilkely to have a problem with it. try to read alot of the threads…
  • good luck, sounds like you have a great plan to work with. A few day ago I found 3 sessions of beginners belly dancing on FitTV.... I haven't started doing them yet, but I'm going too. too funny, meeting you is quite a coincidence. maybe your just the inspiration I need to do it. thanks
  • it sounds to me that your having trouble re adjusting to your new schedual, not just that you can't get back on track from vacation.I know it is hard. I found that after my 2 week vacation I had to push myself really hard to get back to my routine, but that's what happens. It is always an adjustment. just relax and give…
  • you will... but don't worry too much. try to make smart choices, and just know that in 5 days you can't do too much damage. 1 or 2 pounds at the most. I spent 2 weeks eating and doing everything I wanted and I came home to a 3pound gain. I ate dinner out for 14 days in a row. so you'll be fine. even if you go crazy eating…
  • bump for later
  • bump:wink: i'd never miss your threads....... thanks
  • I really feel so much better. I had a baby at 39 yrs old, then waited almost 3yrs to get the final weight off, I also quit smoking and began healthy eating. In the six months since I began my journey, I have become a runner and i love it. after 28yrs of smoking, who'd have thought I could run? Not me. But I can, and I do ,…
  • I also find that exercise decreases my appetite. I love it. I run for 45 min every other day and on the days I don't, I am starving all day. I wish someone would explain that to me.
  • welcome, You can find threads that you share interests with, like walking, running, special eating, or you can start on of your own. I am part of the woggers team. we walk/jog and have a great support system. just click on all the threads and start reading, Or "Lurking" as my daughter tells me, eventually you'll find some…
  • a quaker 90 cal. granola bar will usually do the trick for me. also some fruit, or whole wheat toast with a bit of peanut butter.
  • congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are doing so great...... keep up the great work, you'll be running a marathon before you know it.
  • we feel so sorry for you both. my daughter is here with me and she had similar problems, but mainly from her Cerebral Palsy. but she totaly understands and her suggestions was, I would put a few Tbsp of KARO syrup in a cup of hot cocoa. and that always seemed to relax and stimulate her to go, also the warm compress on her…
  • Is she scared of the "toilet? maybe try puttting her back in the pullups for a short times so she can go? But all the other advice is what I would suggest too. And see a specialist. good luck
  • I never ran before either... But with my new treadmil 5 month ago, I started. I now walk/run between 15-20 miles a week, I can run 3 miles without stopping, I never new that was possible for me. I also was a smoker for 28yrs and quit just 8 months ago, I've lost a bit of weight, but I just love the runners high. I suggest…
  • my weight fluctuates daily if not hourly. too much salt or alcohol in one day and I gain 3 pounds the next morning, or if I eat too late in the evening, gaining at least a pound by morning. But if I don't eat late..and do everything right......I'll stay the same and it will take me a week or more to lose 1 pound. It is…
  • I know it can seem so hard to find your way out, but you have to have patience. While you are waiting to get out of the funk you are in, you have to push to do the little things. take a small walk, watch an exercise video, or just put on some music and dance a bit. I know it seems like stopping eating is impossible, but…
