If you don't mind sodium, I love Taco Soup. You can substitute but here's a general recipe for 6 servings 2 tsp olive oil 3/4 lbs. boneless skinness chicken breast 1 large onion 2 garlic cloves 1/2 cup frozen corn 1 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes 4 cups of broth (I use Mexican Tortilla infused Swanson's) 1 can of Goya…

I don't do flavors in my coffee - but Land O'Lakes Fat Free Half and Half is pretty decent. I like it.

Wow! Thanks for all the replies! I will definitely try some of the tips and pray. I love beans! They are the magical fruit.

They still make that stuff? That was crazy popular in the 1980s - all those funny commercials.

I am happiest when I eat 2000 calories a day. I try to make these cals be more "whole foods" - cheese, eggs, veggies, fruits, etc. In order to lose or maintain, I have to burn 500-1000 a day with this consumption. I'd much rather eat more and be more active than to restrict my diet and have little/no activity.

Sorry I didn't check in last week. It was 0 miles (had surgery on the 13th and just getting back out there today). So for week 4, I pumped out 3 so far. Month to Date: 46

Got a quick run in today. Week 2: 25 miles MTD: 43 miles
-
Up to 20 miles for week 2 for me. 38 miles for August so far. Thanks!
-
I use to rest the day before a long run, but this time around, I'm finding that I like to pump out a few miles. I'm going to do 15 miles tomorrow but will do a light 3-4 miles tonight. I'm late at getting out there today. I used to rest the day after as well - but again - I do 3 or 4 miles the day after. Just jives with me…

Another 4 for me. Week 2 Total: 7 MTD: 25

I'm at 3 miles for Week 2. 21 miles in total now for August. Had 18 miles in week 1. Many thanks for your work!
-
I'm at 9 miles of running so far this week/month. Thanks for your work!

You could just play it by ear. If you want to log, log but don't beat yourself up over not doing it. My guess is that since you are so dedicated to logging, it will be second nature for you to do so - but again, if you have a day where your don't or the whole week - don't stress. You've done really awesome and 20 pounds is…

I try for 2 times a week. I like doing a class called "Definitions" on the third day. Honestly, some weeks I only do two classes. I was obsessed with Body Pump 79 but dig this new 82 one. I had a rough time with 80 & 81 being kind of "boring". I find switching up instructors works a little. Not sure if you have that…

Great information Carson - love reading all that you write. I'm no expert but have been running distances since 2001. I've had my fair share of pains and I agree with Momof3and3 - my pain went away after I started cross training and doing light weight training. In my early years, I'd just run. And that was it. I'd feel…

I'm a 5'7" woman and the charts say that the ideal weight for someone 5'7" is 123-163. I believe my personal ideal weight is between 145-150. I went through Marine Corps boot camp many years ago...it's probably one of the most extreme trainings one can do for 13 weeks. I went weighing 151 and left weighting 133. I looked…

VERY accurate for me RWolf. I'm 5'7" and I always say that 150 is "my weight" - this site pumped out 149.2 for me. Thanks for sharing!
-
Kaci - you look great! Great job eating healthier. Besides looking great, you look really happy and that's more important anyways! :)
-
Just joined the group. Could you put me down for 75 for August? Thanks!

I am so inspired by the people who can lose huge numbers - even though I'm only trying to shed about 5 more pounds. I'm 5'7" and took a "before" pic in January at 157 and just recently a pic at 151 lbs. I think just the 6 pounds made a difference on me. The picture is on my profile - but I have no idea how to put pictures…

I'm a homemaker and love when I log my "light cleaning!" I have my calories set to sedentary and I follow two rules: - I have to work up a sweat and/or a physical feeling of doing something while cleaning. - I max myself out at 2 hours - even if I do much more than that. I don't think cleaning is going to get me to my…

I'm with Sue - I set mine to sedentary and manually put in my exercise calories. I think the calorie count goes up way too high (at least for me) when I set it at active or anything above sedentary. Plus, I think it already takes into account your calories burned and I like to enter my stuff. Hope this helps.

Sorry - didn't really answer your question - the difficulty is what you make of it. I say start small (really small - you'll be sore if you aren't used to weight training). I personally think if you walk away from a class without being slightly sore, you need to increase your weights next time. Also - I sweat like a pig in…

I'm a runner and started Body Pump 22 weeks ago - have been doing it 2 times a week since (never consistently "weight trained" before). I usually add another toning class in a week as well. I have noticed a significant improvement in my endurance and stamina in my running. Since I enjoy running, I'm not out to look for big…

I'll sometimes run in this crap (in Boston where it's pretty hot these days). I'm not a morning person - so going out at 4:30 or 5 is not my thing. Today I did the treadmill and a spinning class to break up the monotony of running on a machine.
-
Great Job Wendy! You're doing awesome!! You're a good inspiration for someone to follow with eating healthy...that's my real down fall (too much processed crap).
-
meant to add - I used to enter it as Aerobics, General - but the calories didn't seem right. The light aerobics calorie count for me was really low but the moderate/high intensity option seemed too high - so I think I grabbed 400 which was kind of in the middle of the two.

I just created an exercise "Body Pump" on my profile. I enter it as cardio. I sweat a lot during it and at about 150 pounds, I figure I average 400 calories per hour/workout. I just pulled that out of my butt, but it works for me.
