I agree too! I have the same issues with it as maureen0809. As I stick to very similar meals I'm tempted to go old school and use paper and pen.

I'd take that increase in calories as you starting to inch your way up to TDEE :) and say keep going. In your post on the 'scary boards' I think you mentioned you are using a BMF. Why not work up to those numbers. You have a pretty reliable gadget, I'd use that for your numbers.

I'm not an expert but for what it's worth I believe that with your history of VLCD I'd say you're best to do a metabolism reset. Did you read that sticky? Some folk will jump right in an increase calories to TDEE, others will increase gradually, say an extra 100 cals a day each week until they reach TDEE. Then it's a case…

Glad you made it over here

There are some 'stickies' here for you to read http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/3834-eat-more-to-weigh-less I think these will help to start with.... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/521728-upping-cals-what-to-expect-why-you-need-patience…

One of my work colleagues asked me if I was ill lol I mean seriously. I'm hardly skin and bones! and from another colleague...'if you lose any more weight you'll be as thin as me'
-
Yay!! Really, why would you eat less if you can still lose weight eating more? It's great isn't it :D
-
Feel free to add me to :) I've been EM2WL'ing for just over a year. Best decision I ever made. No way would I have stuck to the 1200 cals + exercise cals regime. Would have been killing myself to earn the extra.

Fabulous results Holley. You are so inspiring and I'm so chuffed to have you as a friend here :)

I kept mine for a year 'just in case' and just recently decided to donate them. I kept the pair in my profile photo and a pair of shorts. Just to show me that I HAVE made progress. I need that for the days I feel that I haven't changed much and for days I have 'I am fat' feelings.

Oops can't go back and edit my post - my TDEE is 2,050 not 2,500! So I definitely don't take as big a cut as my initial post indicated. My workouts - Cathe Friedrich workouts :- Muscle Max Gym Styles Series (legs and 2 upper body ones) Fitness blender workouts (google the website, sorry I'm on my phone. It may just be…

So you haven't been losing weight at the level you're eating. Why not give the 1950 a go. You may just be surprised to find that the pounds do start to drop off. Just to give you a comparison - I'm also 5'4", nearly twice your age at 43 and have lost most of my weight eating around 1800-1900 gross calories per day. Every…

You've worked out that 2200 is your maintenance doing your normal day to day activity. Great. So 1900 calories would have you happily satisfied and still losing weight! Why not set your goal manually to 1900 and eat that every day? If you do any exercise over and above your normal daily activity log the calories burned and…

Congratulations! Wonderful result.

Fantastic! That is truly heart-warming :)

I was just thinking that I can breathe a sigh of relief when I'm on the beach this year. I'm never going to look like the magazine photos...hell even the models don't. No wonder so many of us (me definitely included) have such a skewed view of what 'good' looks like. I'd still like all my photos 'shopped' a little though ;)

Do you like avocado? Mix a mashed avocado with your tuna and with chopped eggs. Creamy and yummy! My husband doesn't like avocado. This week I made his egg sandwich with avocado and chilli flakes instead of mayo. He's a convert :D

Thanks for the update. I too fell off the wagon earlier this week. It's good to keep it 'real' and post about that too, I believe, if only to reasure each other that these things happen to us all and we CAN pull ourselves back onto the wagon. I can't believe how crap eating crap made me feel! Anyway, onwards we go :)…

I've only just come across this thread and want to congratulate you on your progress so far. What a great testament to the whole Eating More philosophy.

Congrats! It's great to see folk having success and posting about it.

I went for Cathe's Muscle Max in the end and finally did it yesterday. Feeling it today! Actually I felt it yesterday too! Looking forward to doing it again, hopefully tomorrow but probably Wednesday. I need to work out what to mix it up with. At the moment I'm thinking - Day 1 - Muscle Max Day 2 - 30 minutes bike or…

I'm in the UK too. Feel free to add me.

Love this! Mwah :)

My diary is open. I've just recently increased to 2000 a day.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I think I'll look into the Cathe workouts. I believe I can get them as downloads. As for the weights ... The plates with the bar/dumbell go up to 30kg so that should be ok for ooo years!
-
I'm not sure how heavy the weights with the bench go up to but it's more than the 4kg :D I should go and check but it's freezing in the garage. I will though. Promise. Thanks for the recommendation too. I'll have to see if I can get the DVDs here.

Thanks for your input. I do appreciate it. A lot of the wording makes it all seem SO necessary. I'll carry on with my multi-vits & iron, l-lysine and Benefibre. Greenrun - I do tend to eat fish most weeks so for now won't bother with the Omega 3.
-
I'd like to join too. Please :)
-
Feel free to add me too. That goes for all of you. Just add a note that you're from this group otherwise I panic ;)I've been doing the em2wl thing since April (I think) and am happy with my achievements but have gone off the rails somewhat over the festive period and really need, and want, to get back to eating better and…

Ok try this calculator. Just be honest with your activity level, don't go and pick 'desk job with little exercise'. Pick, at least, the next activity level but do work out how many hours you do and use that number. Also make 20% the biggest number you choose in Step 6. Then scroll down and the number in 'Daily calories…
