  • Welcome to the club....I have the same question: GF for weight loss or sensitivity/celiacs?

  • If your only goal is to lose weight than yes its completely possible. But to be in good shape AND thin? Nope, that takes dedication and hard work. You will have to decrease your calories and add some serious cardio. Walking 30 minutes a day is exercise we recommend for our geriatric patients or those with injuries. Sorry…
  • Not going to lie--this sounds fantastic :)
  • Jump Off Joe Lake with my family and friends...best place to fish and relax!
  • You will quickly learn to read ALL labels...If a food contains wheat or gluten I think they are required to put May Contain Wheat beneath the ingredients list. Unfortunately, many foods that you wouldn't think of (salad dressings, soups) contain wheat and those are the things that will get you in trouble if you don't check…
  • haha keeps you on your toes...you never know until the last second! :)
  • High knees...I can handle just about everything except high knees
  • If a CAT scan shows a TIA then you had a TIA---they don't just make stuff up on CAT scans. Either way, if you want to lose weight and your doc thinks you should lose weight then go for it! Good job on eating healthier/cleaner. Slowly cut out of the cookies and frosting and chocolate. A lot of people on here have the…

  • Did you weigh how much chicken? then just put each of those things (chicken, peas, mushroom, and butter) into your diary individually.
  • I know!!! Definately going to pop a top tonight and R-E-L-A-X!!
  • hahaha I'm on the other side of the state, about 5 hours away but thanks anyways! :)
  • I used to HATE HATE HATE body hair but I have slowly warmed to the idea of a little chest hair. Now a perfectly waxed chest just looks a little too "pretty boy" for me lol If your chest hair is under control, not Chewbaca style, then I say keep it and work it :)
  • So...what I'm getting from this is--the West sucks, if your looking for men move in a southerly/easterly direction?! :) Or overseas? Awesome lol
  • No gluten or dairy here...was diagnosed with celiacs PLUS gluten allergy PLUS milk allergy/intolerance about 7 years ago. I think the thing I miss the most is chocolate. Most of the time you can find non dairy replacement stuff (even ice cream) but there is no "non diary chocolate" Stick with it--if not eating gluten/dairy…
  • Ok, you "worked out twice and lost 2 lbs"....this is probably water weight and I hate to break it to you but two workouts probably isn't going to make much of a difference. You really need to give this time! You are not going to see results overnight. You might work out for an hour/day for a week and gain 3 lbs--its ok!!!…
  • I "met" one but didn't really interact too much....It really depends on the age of your daughter and the temperment of the dog. Small dogs might be more likely to bite a small kid that gets too "handsy", but on the other hand if you get a young puppy you might be able to adequetly train it to not nip. So basically i'm not…
  • Celiacs for 7 years and put on all my weight during those 7 years so I understand the weight gain that comes from going gluten free...feel free to add me

  • I have the same problem--I am going to force myself to get out and explore this weekend, that way I am out of the house and away from food as well as getting some exercise. Explore your town, if you live in an outdoorsy area go hike some trails, bike around, find ways to keep yourself busy and you will be less likely to…
  • A sparkling clean house Crossing the last item off a long check list Sheets and/or towels fresh out of the dryer Slipping between aforementioned sheets after a long day at work Highway driving by myself, singing as loud as I possibly can :)
  • From my experience home baked bread tastes better than the gluten free variety in stores. I am TERRIBLE at baking-soooo I got a bread machine, a package of Bobs Red Mill bread mix and presto! Yummy, home baked bread! And I have been very creative at finding things that I can substitute for bread when I am just too lazy to…
  • 5'1 and aiming for a toned 120--that is the last weight where I actually liked the person I saw in the mirror
  • I have this one and its awesome...personally, my backside was S-O-R-E after trying level 2 which is, of course, a good thing. I think you should definately give it a go! :)
  • Ok...it is a HAMSTER!!! Unless this lovely lady has the sense and skills of a 3 year old, I think she can handle the responsibility..oh and way to drag down her thoughtful brother as well...how about we try to be nice and helpful?! I have a hamster and all she needs is some food, water, chew toys and some fluffy bedding.…
  • Who makes GF english muffins?! That is one of the things I miss the most! I live in a small town that only has a Safeway, Walmart and one small health food store. Anybody know of where I could fine them?!
  • I think the main problem is how you stated your opinion--"fat chicks" combines two words that most women do not like having directed at them. I'm sorry for all the criticism but you need to learn some tact sir
  • Agreed. My mind cannot fathom the other kinds of thoughts that must go through your head...
  • The only time gatorade would be good for you is after intense exercise (or sickness) when your electrolytes are depleted. It is full of sugar and sodium. I would try crystal light type flavor packets. You can find all kinds of fun flavors. I would definetely try that rather than gatorade.
  • I mash up some black beans, spread a couple spoonfuls on a corn tortilla, scramble egg whites and wrap it all up...with my coffee it adds up to 200-300 ish calories and keeps me full for awhile
  • What kind of foods are you eating? From what you said (Rice cakes, cereal) it sounds like you are eating a lot of carbs and personally I can eat 3 bowls of cereal and not feel full but thrown an egg or two in there and i'm fine....try adding more protein to your diet. whole grains and fruits are good but you need to…
