Sounds awesome, thanks! :D This recipe serves a dual purpose for me since I'm watching what I eat, and my husband is allergic to gluten. Thanks!

Welcome! The first step is the biggest and hardest to take, so props. <3 Set yourself small, attainable goals, and celebrate them. One step at a time is the only way to get anywhere. I believe in you!!!

Wow, congratulations! That is freaking PHENOMENAL!!!

I drink some extra water that week, but aside from it being harder to just get up and work out, my cramps and fatigue are both better during and after my workout.

I got mad respect in HS for being able to squat more than the football players. Lol. Not so much now, 10 years later, but I'm thinking of adding some of DH's weights to my routine. Not doing it at the gym, though. Maybe when I'm in better shape.

I would log everything. And in the notes section, write a note about what happened that day so you and your doctor can gain an idea together of what triggers your binge eating and how to help you overcome it. Eating disorders are hell to beat, but I have faith that you can do it. <3

I like a little more bulk than cut. Better for cuddling. :) Strong, defined shoulders > washboard abs.

Lol!! Thanks for this! It made me laugh. It also makes me feel a little better because I have literally lost a cup size in less than 2 weeks. But the band size is the same. :P

I met my husband on the internet 4 years ago. We emailed a few times, then texted/talked, and then had dinner. The rest, as they say, is history. :) He was in the military stationed halfway across the country, and I was a single working mom and full-time student. I had neither the time nor the inclination to go out much,…

DH is both, really. He's really supportive of my workouts but less of my healthy eating. I think he just doesn't get it; he can lose 10 lbs in a week by drinking beer and eating hot wings.

My husband has celiac disease, so I totally hear you. Gluten free products are hard to find and expensive; I'm hoping to soon have the time to experiment with some from-scratch baking with different flours. Whey, as in whey protein, is gluten free. It's from milk. But gluten tends to hide in a lot of places you wouldn't…

Hi! :) I'm 26, I have a 5 year old daughter, and I'm finishing up my first week of Insanity. I did it a couple years ago, but I stopped when we were moving; the I ran out of room with all the boxes in the living room, and once I got out of the habit, I never got back into it. Anyway, water under the bridge. I've started…

Self-loathing is seldom productive. You are a lovable and worthy person. Make a list of all the changes you need to make to live a healthier life, and start making them one or two at a time. Get moving, even just a few minutes a day; I met a man who, when he started, could literally barely walk across the room, and now he…

I've felt that; I almost followed this girl's blog on Tumblr until I looked at her before pics where she was much smaller than I am now and talking about how disgusting she was (although her goal was something like 125 lbs at 5'11"). I was crying by the time I closed her page. Then I reminded myself that it's relative. If…

A new wardrobe since when I've lost 55 pounds, I'll NEED it! :D If I keep at 2 pounds loss per week, I'll be at my goal the day we go to spend the weekend camping/canoeing/etc. with some friends, so I plan to be in that canoe in a cute bikini and some cutoffs!

That looks delicious! Thanks!

I'm self-conscious when my husband watches me too, so either you're not weird or we both are. ;) When I was starting Insanity, I didn't want to wait to start it (I was kind of anal about the day matching the one on the calendar lol), but I knew that he wasn't going anywhere. So I just sucked it up and did it and discovered…

I'm inclined to agree. It's not really about how much she weighs or doesn't weigh; I'd say the same thing if she were thin. She's giving you diet advice, not LIFESTYLE advice, and you're doing the right thing with making changes that you can live with. A lot of people give up on fitness/weight loss goals because they try…

2 pounds a week is normal and healthy to lose; I know it feels like a snail's pace, especially after such a huge loss in the beginning. Try to focus less for a moment on the scale and more on how you feel. Do you feel better? More energy, better mood, etc., from your healthier lifestyle? Probably. How do your clothes fit?…

Yes. Often. In middle school, I was bullied relentlessly and told that I looked like a boy. In high school, I had few friends and didn't even get a "hello" from boys until I came back for senior year straight out of basic training and buff. I've heard guys I've dated laughing with their friends about me and get…
