Agree with recommendations. In addition wear a knee support, use ice after work out and Ibuprofen if not contraindicated.

Good advice here. When you squat down, if you hold your breath, this may result in a valsalva maneuver which causes your heart rate to slow way down and then may paradoxically have a dramatic increase to compensate. Happens to people who strain on the toilet and can be very dangerous. Combine that with a low calorie intake…

Has been mentioned once and maybe more as I did not read all the replies but I took my dog rollerblading once and by the end of the run her paws were bleeding from running on the pavement. You have to build them up to it if they are going to run on pavement and not grass. Someone mentioned the Chuch It that throws the ball…

If you visit garage and estate sales you will find tons of skates for low prices. Take a pair of socks with you and try them on for size. Lots of what are being sold are good brands and in good condition.

The nice thing about Yoga is that it is non competitive and everyone is different so you only do what you can comfortably do. The more important benefits for me are improved balance, strength and…

Giving up most of the non caloric sweeteners is a great idea. Here is the meat of an article I just read yesterday and I have heard the same from other sources. From Prevention Magazine, March 2013, article by Dr. Andrew Weil about artificial sweeteners. "...That said, synthetic non caloric sweeteners are not a good…

Had my jaws wired for 8 weeks a long time ago. Carnation Instant Breakfast and Ice Cream Floats are always good but not diet friendly. I had a space in the back where my wisdom teeth were pulled so I could push scrambled eggs or a small piece of pretzel in there when I needed salt but the other options are far more…

There are a lot of people from the UK on this site that might be able to help and you can add your own foods to the data base from the nutritional information on the package. Good site. You will like it.
