I see a lot of responses about proper shoes, and that is definitely a must for a combination of cushion and stability. Also, foot exercises are a must. One of the best tips I had was to do foot exercises prior to getting out of bed or standing/weight bearing. I followed foot exercises in bed with foot rocking beside my bed…

Congratulations on getting back on track. I am back at tracking too. My new goals are ambitious but one day at a time.

Prelogging today :)

Good job.

Even if accuracy is off, I think it will help you be aware of how much you exercise and, more importantly, help you gage your daily calorie needs accordingly. My body tells me I am eating too much with weight gain - even if I do not think I overeat, and my husband's body will tell him when he is not getting enough calories…

Thanks for sharing your success strategies. So you recommended making eating out a special occasion, plan beforehand, substitute healthier meals or eat smaller portions, and when you indulge - enjoy it, but no matter what, slow down and chew (I liked the recommendation to chew both for the sarcasm and for the reality that…

I get a choice to pick a free fit bit one (Clip on) or fit bit flex (wrist band). I don't want a tan line on my wrist and leaning toward Clip model. Any feedback here?

I'm 55 years old and looking to drop 20 lbs by summer 2014 while dealing with MAJOR life stress events - Moving across country, changing careers, sandwich-generation issues.... Just changed my ticker from pounds dropped to pounds to go.
-
I am also looking for weight loss motivation buddies. I am 5'7 and average between 155-160 for last couple years. My goal is to drop over 20 lbs by summer 2014.

Yikes! Please don't reply to me unless you leave hate off the keyboard. This is tuff enough! That said, I'm trying to eat more healthy calories and welcome friends who support this goal. :flowerforyou:

Back in my 40's I put running a Marathon by age 55 on my bucket list. I am signed up for Route 66 Marathon that is one week before my 55th birthday. Just re-started MFP to drop 20 more lbs by race day. When I joined MFP in 2012 my bucket list included running a Marathon in my 80's. What's age got to do with it?
-
Friends are for motivation. Sharing diary may motivate some but not others. Its a personal choice.

Starting again is better than giving up! I've been off MFP while maintaining weight using other apps for most of 2013. I'm back on MFP today with a goal to shed an average of 2 lbs a week to drop 20 lbs by race day for November Marathon.

BUMP! You look Marvelous!

Emotional eating under stress is a challenge for me too! Great advise on no more than a day, fake it, positive attitude, and remembering past successes. Thanks for post!

Great job working on ED and reaching out.

Fat free half and half or non fat whipped cream over HOT coffee in am. For latte, mix 3/4 coffee, w/Stevia pkg and vanilla, add nonfat milk and a few ice cubes, if desired, and top w/ non fat whipped cream. Try Chai tea as substitute for coffee sometime.

Love the way it shows off your waistline and hourglass figure! Your arms have great tone for showing off shoulders too! That shows off your commitment to exercise along with healthy eating and calls for some serious hip action when you walk in that dress. Congratulations on looking awesome!

My first reaction to blog title was goal weight...after all I'm spending money on a gym, etc,, so that seemed to say the answer. Then I read the scenario, and it's the money AND the trip hands down. I know I'll get to goal and I will spend $10K but will I every travel oversees??? That is a dream. Now you've sparked a new…
