  • I am in the same boat (slparsaca) . I have been VERY athletic my whole life. My pregnancy wasnt the smoothest and I ended up having some serious injury to my hips and SI joints. I had to drop out of baseball, volleyball, floor hockey, gym and more! 18 months of physiotherapy and still not much better. Everytime I think i…
  • and by yogurt I meant greek yogurt(2%) Dont opt for "low fat" as they just tend to have more sugar added to replace the flavour of the fat being removed
  • I find if I generally stick to the outer diameter of the grocery store I make healthier choices.I also found ways to "cheat myself" into thinking Im snacking on junk. Almond butter on apple slices is almost decadent when I have a sweet tooth. The eat clean powerball recipe is also very good. I still have my days, but find…
  • I had a typo. Its called a wild wrap. I will see if I can find the link from my friend. Im sure its different for everyone, but my physiotherapist told me to avoid crunches altogether if you have diastasis recti(especially after a c-section),you are actually forcing the gap to stay that way. People only think of their abs as…
  • Unfortunately, I am still not allowed to do yoga because of my hips..Im pretty restricted right now until they heal a bit:(
  • I lost nothing while breastfeeding!! I just stopped a week ago, and have had some women say they hung on to wieght until after, but who knows!! If you get an answer, let me know too!
  • Thanks for your reply, my struggle has been frusterating as I havent recieved much for feedback from anyone with similar issues! I was very fit before and had an unexpected preganancy at 33 yrs old after years of being told I couldnt have kids. I worked in oil and gas out in the field,so I was put on light duties at first…
  • I agree, but for many,a restricted diet is set up for failure(this is why so many people try to lose weight!) the 80é20 rule is great to live by. For those who have had `cheat days`in thepast, a `cheat Meal`is a better transition towards healthier eating. As people begin to eat better on the whole, the cravings do subside.…
  • I have been a diagnosed celiac for over 6 years now. I love the book "you wont believe its gluten free" and also Quinoa 365,qll the gluten free meals are labelled and they are delicious!
  • You having limitations as well?
  • I have strugglied with the same as well. I gained almost 80lbs during my pregancy(was VERY fit before), and due to complications from an emergency c section, I am still recovering in physiotherapy, with exercise limitations.Weight training mixed with cardio will give the best overall results,as you burn more fat by…
  • Heres a helpful hint. Never give yourself a "cheat day".YTry a "cheat meal" instead. This is what keeps me from going overboard when I have a treat.
  • wow! Congrats! I hit around the 200 mark myself! I still have about 24 pounds to go! YOu give me hope,as most of my friends with children are significantly younger than me.Great to see someone my age getting these amazing results!!

  • I am now B12 deficiant and will need monthly ****s for the rest of my life because I damaged my intestines by going so long without diagnosis
  • I had VERY similar issues,it took 1- years to diagnose me!! Be carefulthat they do more than just the blood test,as it can come back incinclusive. The only real surefire way to tes tis the small boswel biopsy BEFORE you eliminate gluten out of your diet. Good luck!!!

  • It is true though. A calorie deficit and contrary to popular belief, strength training are the way to go. I also had a c section, but I find scar massage really helps the "puckering" as well!
  • Is everything ok with you healthwise? I would reccomnd strength training if it is. Work large muscle groups (quads, glutes, back, etc). This will help increase your metabolism over time by building lean muscle(you wont bulk up). I am just beginning to strength train, but would have done it months ago if I was allowed to do…
  • Everyone keeps telling me it gets better. Depends on who you talk to,but I am finding that 80 percent of the woman I talked to hung on to at least 10 pounds until they were done nursing.
  • I,unfortunately am in the same boat. I am 1 year post partum right now.I too thought I would be better than my normal self right now. I was 198lb exactly before delivering too:( HANG IN THERE!
  • I don't have all the answers for myself, but I did a lot of physiotherapy /pilates based exercises and significantly reduced my "abdominal gap". Before my other complications, I found that swimming was working great for me!
  • Is there anyone who has had any complications from C sections out there? I was very fit post baby, and after 12 hours of back labour,an emergency c section,an internal hematoma and ostitus pubis, bed rest, weight resdtrictions,I have really struggled to try to get my body back!! Any successes overcoming any of these things?
