Definitely rest and see a doctor ..... but your running stride has a LOT to do with shin splints and knee pain. I used to have BAD shin splints. I changed my shoes to start out with to a more natural lighter shoe. Less cushion in the shoe. I used to wear a Saucony shoe with lots of cushion. Bad choice for running. It was…

Thank you! I run and bike three days a week. On alternate days I All over body tone using light hand weights,crunches,situps,lunges,squats,dips,bur-pees, mountain climbers,pull ups,push ups,(not knee push ups) When I do these exercises it's in circuit training that has me pouring sweat. And lots of stretching.

I wouldn't recommend it. Your muscles will be small and puny. No tone. Muscle helps you burn more calories. Do you have a DVD player? Buy work out videos. Jillian Michaels has some good ones and P90X is excellent! Start out with Jillian's 30 day shred. It has a beginner,intermediate and more advanced level. And it's cheap.…
