Love it!

It's quite normal to feel this way at first. You're still getting your running muscles. Just wait till you get into better shape and you'll get into that "zone" as I like to call it. It usually starts for me after the 1st mile and I'm good and warmed up.

You look fabulous and sooooo much happier!

HI! I love running! My son's 20th birthday is June 1st. I'll be running my 3rd half in July. I never thought I'd be saying that either. It's addictive!
-
lol! That would be really weird. Yeah, you're just running along and suddenly his voice come in on your ear buds.....

Your plan of a light run during your trip plus all that walking sounds good. You should be fine. Just make sure you get right back to it when you get home.

good one!

Hahahahah! Right now I'm feeling like the biscuit. :frown:

Congratulations! Great job you did!

Another thing you should try is running outside. That way you can set your own speed. You'll slow down or speed up as you feel comfortable and it's much less boring. Keep in mind you need 12 weeks to train for your first half marathon. Make sure you give yourself enough time to train. Hal Higdon has some great training…

One inch off your waist is awesome! And ab workouts alone did not cause it to come off. Keep up all the exercise, you are doing great. But don't cut back on protein on off days like one person said. Try going wheat free for one week like some people say and see if it makes the bloating go away. You will never know unless…

I just add the full amount amount to my diary and not worry about it. If you haven't bought one yet get a food scale so you can get your portion sizes to the ounce.

I just went up on my cals also. From 1500 to 1783. I feel soooo full all the time! But I haven't lost in so long I need to try something. I'm pretty sure I calculated my TDEE correctly. 2229. I haven't got on the scale yet. I'm kinda chicken to get on. So we'll see what happens. Good luck to you!

She needs to find a different one to do. unless you think she can run walk it. That is still pushing it too soon.

The training takes 12 weeks to go through. How long has your friend been running? Here is a link to a good training plan.http://www.halhigdon.com/training/51137/Marathon-Novice-1-Training-Program

No! You need to eat more. Especially with the running and crossfit. This is an awesome group here on MFP. Read this info and use the Scooby calculator. It really works! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/680246-tdee-bmr-what-they-are-and-what-to-do-with-them

Of course it's still running. Treadmills are great for speed work. But I don't like them for long runs. No way. So boring! that's the trouble for me. But they do have their place.

It was like watching the incredible shrinking woman! Fantastic! I love the picture of and all your girl buddies! Great story!

you gained weight in other places besides your waist.

Good luck! You can do it! You sound a lot like me. I was skinny in school and started gaining weight after every baby. I've been on this site for a year now and it sure works. Feel free to add me. :flowerforyou:
