The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest Third volume to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Good series! Hard to get into at first but stick with it it's worth it.

Fantastic! I know what you mean by feeling bad. Yesterday I did four miles. Usually no problem, but I went later than usual and did not eat anything. I was fine in the first mile but later it felt like my blood turned to mud. I felt like ick. So great job. BTW I'm training for my second half in Jan. :flowerforyou:

Thanks for the info! It seems like more people like them and recommend them than not.:drinker:

Well I heard about them but didn't know much about them. And my feet do feel the wear and tear. Next week I go up to 5 miles for my long run. Thanks

I guess this topic is not interesting enough for people to comment on.

Orange juice is better compared to soda. Buuuuut, it has a lot of calories and sugar. Stick to a teeny, tiny glass. 8 ounces. Drink water! Coffee! Tea! No sugar added. or just a teaspoon.

Great post! I certainly do still jiggle. Spandex is MY friend. Feel free to send a request.

I HATED looking at myself in the mirror. And refused to buy clothes in a bigger size. And now that I'm close to my goal weight I LOVE the looks and compliments I am getting from my husband! :blushing:

Don't do it! You have a nice face. You don't need to cover it up.

Great work! You look stunning!!

I'm not normally into airplanes but this one is pretty cool! And I was on vacation and having a blast. It looks like I'm holding it up in the picture.

Running two days in a row is fine. If you want to stretch it out longer by doing a morning run and then an evening that would be fine also.I usually break it up and do a longer run one day and an easier run the next. I normally feel better on the first day running after a rest day. Always take your rest days though.
-
I think you might be right on target! Keeping hydrated is vital! Give your self a rest day and drink, drink, drink all day long. See how you feel then on your next run.
-
You get upset when you realize you can't afford that new pair of running shoes and wait to buy that new out fit to get them.
-
A day you don't run on. You really should have a rest day. It helps your body reboot,re-energize,heal. After rest days I feel like I can run forever!

Very well said!:drinker:

I don't necessarily agree with this. There are all kinds of runners. Not all want to race. Some just want to feel the ground under their feet and the wind in their face and not compete. It doesn't mean they're not a runner. I'm not one though. I enjoy the challenge.

I am training for my second half marathon in Jan. For your knee trouble. Where does your foot strike the ground? A heel strike can cause knee, hip, and shin pain. I had terrible shin splints and changed my foot strike and went to a lighter shoe. NO more pain:o) I eat a small piece of fruit, banana, peach, strawberries and…

I warm up walk 1/2 mile before my run and cool down 1/2 mile walk after my run THEN I stretch with out fail when all my muscles are good and warm. I count to 20 for each stretch. Runners lunge stretch, toe touch each leg then between legs on ground. Back stretch and upper thigh stretch. Up on toes for my calves then up on…

One pound a week is not too slow. It's just right. If you lose too fast you will have more of a problem with loose skin. I joined in January. At first it was a pound a week or even two. Then I hit a three month plateau. I now eat around 1500 to 2000 cals a day. I am now losing around 1/2 pound a week and I am fine with…
