If you are not used to eating before a run and your race is early you shouldn't eat. Drink though. Maybe something with electrolytes.

Awesome! First 5k! Here is what I do, Eat an early high carb dinner the night before. Not too heavy either. Hydrate a lot the day before also. REST the day before. No running. Get up early enough to take care of bathroom stuff before the race and eat a light carb filled breakfast two hours before your run. And…

Fantastic! You look like you lost more than 37 pounds. I joined in Jan. also and running is my main exercise with circuit resistance training. You should sign up for a half marathon now. :happy: I'm training for my second one. :drinker:

Oh,, you poor thing. You didn't get hurt did you? don't worry, worse things have happened. I've seen people crash and burn on the treadmill.

Great pictures! Great results! I'm training for my second half marathon. It's in Jan. My time in the first one was 2:46.37. Almost what you got. I'm hoping to beat it by about 46 minutes. :bigsmile:

I suppress mine with food! :happy: If I'm hungry I eat. But something healthy. It'll keep that ole metabolism up.

I don't obsess with weighing myself. Never have. I weight almost every day too. I use it as a tool. It helps to keep me in check. But I also measure and pay attention to how my clothes fit.

I just took a peek at your pictures on your profile and you are NOT huge, you look look great!! Sure you want to lose more. So do I. Stay positive and motivated and you'll get there. Keep in mind all the hard work and progress you have achieved. :flowerforyou:

I did a Warrior dash in April. It crazy fun! Knbloch12 gave you some great advise...Carb load for dinner, duct tape your shoes on, drink at every station, use the bathroom before you start your race and wear stuff that wont chafe,drag or snag on stuff. tight fitting clothes are good. Have a blast!!:drinker:

I use jillian's protein powder. One scoop powder 1/2 cup blue berries Frozen are good. One banana 1/2 cup plain yogurt 1/4 cup water Blend Add crushed ice. It tastes better when it's really cold Blend again It's delish!! If too thick add more water or ice.
